Just read a US car mag:- the hyudai new sonata !50?? is fighting nail n toe with Camry / Accord there for best selling car title :o

WOW.. Okay.. I think people will still go for Honda/Toyota in US due to the name.. I dont think Hyundai is that famous in US.. Yet..

actually i think buyers in US of cars like accord / camry etc are not looking for image or prestige, just reliable and 'honest' bread n butter cars (given that cars is just a tool in their society, not a status symbol unless we are looking at luxury cars). so since sonata (i 40/50) comes with 10yr warranty (not joking here) and has actual reliability records to prove it, the buyers in US will grab them...
