Im managing a weight management clinic at marine parade.

 

So would like to do a simple intro and feedback from the ppl in this forum.

 

My clinic specialize in TCM detoxing methods and acupuncture, together with proper diet plan from qualified health consultants and doctors.

$10 just to use your weighing scales, to calculate body fat and mass?

 

Come on lah.....it should be free!

 

I always tell my friends who want to lose weight.

Go hospital for an operation, and drip glucose water for one week. Sure lose weight.

Or eat dirty food, and kena diarrhea for one week also can.

 

Why pay so much money just to eat and drink this detox program.....it's just some dirty plants that induce diarrhea.

Lots of such medicine on the shelf.

Mr simon sir..FYI the same inbody check at hospital cost $80

And losing weight isnt jus bout lookin at weighin scale..its more than that..

will apprieciate tactfullness on ur part regardin detoxing which you do not understand :)

 

my post meant no harm to those who r interested..shall not debate further

I have successfully lose weight via an iphone app call myfitnesspal. Based on subject current and target weight, the app will "advice" daily calories consumption. Juz record every meal or snack & make sure stay within "permitted" calories.

I lost abt 5-6 kg from June to now, just by starting high intensity interval training and doing weights on alternate days [rolleyes] , plus watching what I eat, making sure the calories I consume is less than what my body needs. I have a weighing scale that measures bmi, body fat composition, muscle mass and so on, which I use every morning to measure my weight and other data. Not boasting but just sharing that weight loss can be achieved with determination, proper exercise and balanced diet

 

So there's no need to go for such weight management programs, you can be sure they will try to sell you their package for $XX99, promising you this and that in the end you may or may not achieve weight loss, but you wallet sure burn a big hole.

Are you registered TCM pract? http://www.tcmpb.gov.sg/tcm/searchtcmp.do?

 

If you do, what does it mean for me? - if anything go wrong is there some thing like Singapore Medical Council i can report you to?

 

If not, can I sue you for wrongful practice, but you not under professional practice, so cannot right?

 

Just wondering :D

true..exercise is still recommanded..but its not for all..esp older folks..and it can only tk to a certain extend..

 

for those younger ones who can exercise can only target surface fats..but im not refering to that..there's fat internally esp those wrapped around vitals organs..thats the area the detox and TCM accupunture are targetin..

 

i do have clients comin in who look fine outwardly..but signed up the accupunture after a diagnose with from the consultant..things that u cant see ..doesnt mean its workin fine :)

well you come here to car forum and post about your weight management program then say your program more suited for older folks? Who do you think surf this forum more? Young guys or older folks?

 

Please don't be mistaken, I have nothing against you and cannot say anything about your program, but to me everything is about your lifestyle. If you smoke a lot, do not exercise and eat alot of unhealthy stuff of course you can have a lot of fat around the vital organs, but a complete change of diet and a healthy injection of regular exercise over 3-6 months will be much better, because not only does the fat gets burned off, the body also develop muscular tissue which will burn fat and calories more efficiently, thus helping one to stay lean in the long run, not to mention the body will look much better too. I bet your program does not develop any muscles on your clients' bodies right? So what's keeping the fat from returning to the body once they stop your program? Whatever I can't see I go for a health checkup once a year, and the report will tell me everything I need to know, without being pressurized to sign up for any weight management program.

You also never mention how much your program will cost, I estimate it to be at least 1k and above. For that I rather recommend someone get a good pair of running shoes, some workout gear, two dumbbells plus an exercise ball then start working out and running regularly, not only will they see the effect after 2 mths and feel better and more energetic, they will still have some spare change left over too!

 

Again I'm not attacking you personally, just pointing out the merits of exercising and working out, compared to going for your weight management program.

i didnt say my program is only for older folks..if u read clearly i said exercise isnt for anyone :)

esp for some older folks..

some younger ppl may not exercise or work doesnt permit.. and yes its bout lifestyle..many do not understand exercise nor proper dietin..thats y there r gyms with trainers and dieticians at slimming program..theres no right nor wrong method..its bout the right one for each individual..

 

and i do have ppl in 20s in the slimmin program as well

 

but hey no offence taken..no worries :)
