hi guys. anybody can recommend places where they do seat cleaning? last wk i carried some food in my car. unfortunately, the oil leaked n got all over my seat. think the oil got seeped into the cushion. everytime i wipe, the towel sure turn yellow n red (the food is rendang n ayam masak merah). so...am thinking of letting the experts do. mayb those with steam cleaning or watever they call.

 

pls help...else those sitting on the seat clothes sure turn red or yellow.

Do a search for Revol Car Grooming. Look for Gavin at Toh Guan. Let him take a look. Fabric seat not easy....but heard some successful comments before. Can try to check with them.

try to DIY?

 

go autobacs buy those fabric seating agent, usually foam type.

let it sit in for a while, using a clean cloth to wipe.

repeat if required.

 

that's how i maintain the fabric..

Ive bought a foam upholstery cleaner. Spray, let it rest, then wipe. Think i did that like 10times liao. Slowly the oil is lesser, or mayb seeped too deep inside cant wipe off. But the smell still not so nice, n scared all the bacteria n germs embedded inside.

this kind take a few weeks to go away. just repeat the cleaning with abit of water and vacuum

sun clean vacuum. after 2 weeks still no progress then spend money w professionals

Oil stain on seat? I think you better change the whole seat! Joking.

 

Look for those car grooming, they should have the equipment to clean off the stain completely. But oil stain usually must use hot steam.

Is not the stain. Its the oil that has seeped into the sponges that im concerned abt. Mine is fabric seat. Stain cant really see....but im sure theres oil inside.

If that's the case.....go to those upholstery workshop.....they know how to take out the fabric and check....at times they have even more solutions...cos they are specialised in it.

Hi Evilernie,

 

If your seat is FABRIC you can use Sonax Xtreme Interior Cleaner + Microfibre Cloth, but be sure that it covers the entire seats.

If it's Leather, you can use Sonax Xtreme Interior Cleaner + Sonax Dirt Eraser but take care not to do with so much force if you don't want your leather seats get damaged.

For maintenance and protection, you can use Sonax Soft-Top and Fabric Water Proof for protection against water and sweat stain.
