Started this poll mainly because i saw two different honda civic cutting lanes dangerously all in one single day. One along CTE, the other along Upper Paya Lebar Road. Both narrowly avoided accidents with the cars in front, one almost rear ended me... Not saying all honda civic drivers are the same, just so got two in a row on one single day. V-tec power eh? [shakehead]

Hate the attitude of not signalling and cutting dangerously. How hard it is to push on the signal lever? Wait till they got cut and crushed by heavy vehicles without signaling then they know how it feels [smash]

May be they got head start, so after many years still the number one brand for such dangerous driving drivers. Perhaps also such drivers no idea how to use trafficators [:p] This morning saw a bus, the Class 4 driver signalled to filter right, but the bus entered bus stop on the left instead [:p]

Toyota Wish (Red Trans Cab Taxi)

Majority of Taxi drivers are dangerous driver irregradless of what car they drive.. [drivingcar]

Taxi Drivers got to pay for rental first, followed by the fuel they use, then fill their stomachs. After these comes their wages. Many/most of them do not have adequate good sleep to drive safely. Yet most of them told me they are happy about it.

The biggest mistake Taxi companies did was to give their drivers powerful rides..

Sorry, but I think this thread is absolutely misleading and ahem...stupid. How can someone define a dangerous driver with a dangerous car? What categorise a car 'dangerous' in the first place? <_< Higher hp = more dangerous? Bigger body = more dangerous? Or Super low hp = more dangerous due to possible road hogging chances? It's crazy...

Sorry TS, a potential dangerous driver can be driving any car. To me, I define a dangerous driver as someone who drinks and drive...someone who street race often for the kick...someone who is using hp while driving...someone who is unaware of the surrounding...etc etc. Too many to list. If you look at the examples I listed here, it can be any car make. Be it Chery QQ, be it Taxis, Corollas, Rex, EVOs, Lambo, Ferraris etc...as long as someone displaying one of the characteristics / actions that I listed here is driving it..then it's DANGEROUS.

To stereotype a particular make to dangerous drivers is just plain stupidity. Sorry, but it's my personal opinion. No offence.

Haha.. no offense taken, stereotyping is not the intention here, but sharing of actual experiences with dangerous drivers.

Agree with Track, high insurance costs can also be a good indicator of what cars to avoid, both buying or on the road [laugh]

It is not the brand but rather the car model. Certain type of drivers tend to buy a specific model.

yeah, true, but car models too many to be listed [:p]

Brand marketing also plays a part, some brands or models are marketed as "chiong" type cars, while others more for family usage [drivingcar]

Yup, glad you view it as my personal opinion. I too somewhat agree that one may view high insurance costs as a possible indicator. However.....don't forget....insurance companies also tend to set higher premium for super cars, high powered rides as well. That doesn't mean those driving Ferraris (high insurance premium) are dangerous drivers. But of cos, I need to point out that high insurance premiums are also due to high accident rates and coupled with its relatively high power, cars like Rex and EVOs will have to bear the high ins premium. That's reality, I guess. <_< But still, going along this line, I do see a rise in accident rates in cars from other makes/models...the only reason their ins premiums are not rising sky high is that in the eyes of the insurance companies, they are still the bread and butter cars on the roads...low risk.
