Skunk Clutched September 19, 2011 Share September 19, 2011 I'm thinking of purchasing a condo patio unit....because i love to have BBQ food everyday....wanna buy one of those American-styled gas-fired grills. But heard that no BBQ is allowed in some/all patio units? Can anyone verify this? Any condos allow this? Cheers. ↡ Advertisement

Icedbs Turbocharged September 19, 2011 Share September 19, 2011 not suppose to.......your smoke may go up the other units above you. For BBQ, you should use the BBQ pit outside. Please be considerate, I suggest you should buy the Penthouse unit with a open roof terrace. That one you can BBQ whole day and no one will bother you. Mightymito 1st Gear September 19, 2011 Share September 19, 2011 And use ghee instead of oil. Ghee has higher smoking point than oil. taste better too.

Why not you go for the PH unit instead?

SimonTan 2nd Gear September 19, 2011 Share September 19, 2011 Condo owners can be farkers at times. Unless it's the top most unit, else I think most people will not like the oily BBQ smell fly into their unit. You can argue that the smell is harmless and the neighbors are unreasonable. But they can also spray urine water down while you are BBQing or worst throw you red tempons, or soiled diapers. Alternative, you can cover your patio with a awning such that no high-rise debrie can hit you while you are BBQing. ↡ Advertisement
