I think you got it wrong there . . . . . In the 80s SBC or was it TCS didn't show any F1 edited or not on TV . . . . I was and still am a big F1 as well as the FIM bike fan when they had 125cc, 250cc and 500cc divisions. I had to get my cousin in KL to tape the races, LIVE on TV3 then and then send them to me thru the post. I would go to the post office to collect them after the censor board had a look at them 1st. As for Ayrton Senna, well he's a good driver yes but he's abit of a cheat and a sore loser. My favourite is Nigel Mansell . . . . . .

SBC did show some repeat telecast races selectively on channel 12, which during then was the dedicated full english channel showing main documentaries and sports programs. Brian Richmond still got a full black mane. And yes, the m'sia TV3 does show some of the races also. TCS only got to broadcast news of his death cuz coincidentally, 94 was the year senna passed on and it's the same year when SBC was privatised and became TCS. When I 1st knew what is F1, I kept seeing a short frenchman winning races, until Senna came along into McLaren and became his teammate. ↡ Advertisement
