Osiris 1st Gear September 16, 2011 Share September 16, 2011 First, I am not a OPC owner. But this guy is talking about how to prevent accident and is inferring weekend cars are caused of it. No. 1 - WEC. I doubt there are any WEC on the road. Most will have been changed to OPC. If he gets his facts right and say OPC, then No 2. How does he know they are on the road when they should not be? whether use e-license or paper how he knows? http://www.straitstimes.com/STForum/Online...ory_713210.html I AM gratified that road safety campaigning is an ongoing process. In my view, there are several key reasons accidents happen and here are some suggestions on how to prevent them: - Pedestrians do not follow traffic signs and for convenience, avoid crossings and overhead bridges. Solution: Impose heftier fines and install more accident-warning signs. - Motorcyclists should ride on the inner lanes. They also have the bad habit of weaving in and out of traffic, endangering themselves and other motorists. The police should clamp down on such practices. - Better-made cars coupled with impatient drivers add up to dangerous speeding, a habit the Traffic Police should check more closely. - Road signs should also be updated. Add more signs in Chinese as there are many foreign Chinese drivers. The exit signs for expressways are positioned in a way that makes it too late to react. The exit to Eunos is an example. - Weekend cars should be scrutinised. There are many on the road at times when they should not be. Nullifi3d 4th Gear September 16, 2011 Share September 16, 2011 that forum is full of BS posts. Objectively speaking, all forums contain a degree of BS. But at least the BS in MCF is relevant (to a certain extent). "Bash OPC" topics etc - Hey, its a car forum right? And OPCs are car-related topics. And if a flame war does ensue, i have to state i'm an OPC owner.

Solution: Impose heftier fines and install more accident-warning signs. i'd rather they focus on conducting road blocks for drink driving and be more proactive in stopping cars with illegal lights like neon lights - Motorcyclists should ride on the inner lanes. They also have the bad habit of weaving in and out of traffic, endangering themselves and other motorists. The police should clamp down on such practices. want to know what's dangerous? this: - Better-made cars coupled with impatient drivers add up to dangerous speeding, a habit the Traffic Police should check more closely. does this have anything to do with 'better-made' cars? - Road signs should also be updated. Add more signs in Chinese as there are many foreign Chinese drivers. The exit signs for expressways are positioned in a way that makes it too late to react. The exit to Eunos is an example. more signs in chinese because got more foreign chinese drivers? might as well put the steering wheel on the left also? might as well ask them to pay for petrol in RMB? - Weekend cars should be scrutinised. There are many on the road at times when they should not be. how in the world does he know if those OPC have bought their coupons or not? please don't tell me he takes 'weekend' car literally. Nf0rc3r 1st Gear September 16, 2011 Share September 16, 2011 (edited) He living in a world where OPC can only come out at night and weekends. Cannot buy coupon cos its against his own "logic". His selfish thinking is u buy OPC why u drive during peak hour. What is your problem. Edited September 16, 2011 by Nf0rc3r

Tom_kkh 1st Gear September 17, 2011 Share September 17, 2011 (edited) well this morning, i saw in 2 different accounts. weekend cars tailgating, at racing speed, zigzagging. and the traffic is clear, why tailgate at high speed, ego maybe? cannot "win" by normal color plate, think they can win by speed and skills? sorry to say, 1 was a honda fit and 1 was a honda juzz and both are tailgating cars of 1.6 and 2 liters.... don mean to be evil but for a while i hope these racer boys crash and paralyze, so next time they can tailgate with their wheelchairs in basketball courts.
