Definitely good news for me. But till now i am still puzzled by how the newly kicked in carbon emission tax will affect the overall pricing of the orlando. Can someone please enlighten me? For example, does it come in the form of having a higher road tax?

The road tax is $604 per year because it is a 1.4T. The sales told me that CEVS has no effect.

However, I suspect the profit margin is higher now. In Feb, the offered price was $116K when COE was $66K with a listed price of $139k The current offered price is $124K with COE $65K and listed price $136K.

Wow... that looks stunning! Would love to see this on Singapore roads.

Sorry for the wait. The first photo shows the original Orlando which I'll be purchasing in August:

And after trimming and pasting the red tapes (to be purchased from Spotlight), the following is the "Artist's Impression" on how it will then look like:

So I'm now seeking opinion as to whether it would look nicer?

For me, I would prefer the one without lids as the headlamps look bigger... brighter in the night to scare off road hoggers. :XD:

But personal preferences la.

Just saw a black Orlando SKS plate at Tampines Mall earlier at 5pm.... Managed to park almost beside you. First time I see two black Orlandos side by side(almost)! [:p]

When I went down during the CNY period, they said the pricing for $116k was only for demo units (test drive cars), and the pricing was also $124k. Thus their margin is indeed higher now, specifically $1,000 more.

Last night, at the open-air car park outside Cathay Orchard Cineleisure, I saw a black Orlando parked next to a Wish, dwarfing the Wish a lot! Why does the Orlando look so much bigger (and more rugged, robust) than the Wish?

BTW I like to "reshape" the original headlights because the original one is too squarish, making it look like a van. Thus with those tapes pasted, hopefully it will create an "eagle eye's" effect to give it a more contemporary look.

I have previously posted pictures comparing Wish and Orlando in this thread. The Orlando indeed looks bigger and nicer. However, the cabin space feels smaller than Wish. Hard to explain.

I think the reason is the Orlando has very thick and hard ultra-strength steel cage doors, therefore eating into its interior space.

Collected car today....
First thing noticed... Alpine's Service Centre looks nicer than VW-SC

Parked beside a 2009 Volvo XC-90 just now... .

Sentiments:

Definitely a power trade-off, but power still comes if accelerate harder... engine can get a little rattly though.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Interior/ergonomics:
> Infotainment / Navigation / Bluetooth system needs some getting used to.
> Navigation keeps saying "Redlight Camera" warning... can be a little anoying.
> Navigation 're-calculation' doesn't compute a new route, but tries to get back to original route, which is quite annoying, as you have to manually programme it again.

> MP3s system doesn't allow rootfile scrolling, it just shows ALL the songs on one list... much like an old ipod. alternatively just use ipod to scroll.
> Good thing about the Centre Console design is... it has a generous flat surface to put 2 mobile holders for driver / passenger...

Other Comments:

>Would be really great is there was underseats storage (like the golf)... and possibly more storage around the car too.

>Fantastic cornering (min. roll)

>Suspension can get a little too firm.

The original lamps still looks better, IMO. American cars are supposed to look big everywhere, even the headlamps.

Hi, I was wondering if there are local stores selling Orlando accessories?

I saw that Ebay, Alibaba, etc have many accessiors for Orlando, will there be risk buying online?

No risk. I have already bought several accessories for my Orlando from Aliexpress and Ebay and everything came nicely packed and on-time.

Hi,

Thanks for sharing. I have just booked a red colour Orlando today.

What accessories you bought? Can share?

Actually I try to look for "floor mat" for Orlando in TaoBao, but unable to as I think China does not have this model.

Thanks

Tan
