1)Its a pity they didn't bring in the Diesel models, otherwise the torque would've helped much. our 1.4L t/c should be Twin-charged, this will enhance the lift-off.

2)I think Acosean asking about the tailgate. There is no button to open the tailgate, you have to walk to the back to open it manual. There is a button above the carplate that you can press though.

Still feel the ride a little tough. though not as harsh...
hmmm...

1. I have seen one dark brown Orlando on the roads several months ago so it is not new but not very popular for sure. It is closer to black than "burnt coconut" colour. If you don't look carefully you would think it is a black instead of a dark brown Orlando. Here is a video of the colour: https://youtu.be/4hBekOLozr4

Here are other videos of the dark brown coloured Orlando eating other cars for breakfast:

a) versus a Honda CRV: https://youtu.be/PkRsLzDUzSI?list=PLFC2EE10E98D396A1

b) versus a VW Passat: https://youtu.be/oDtkltXY5FA

In bright sunlight it looks obviously brown but in dim light, it looks blackish.

2. Yes there is a central door lock/unlock button on the dashboard.

Thanks for the responses!

Strange that my SE said the Burnt Coconut is a brand new colour (that is, never before), which is different from the Dark Brown (which is an existing colour) that we see on our Singapore roads once in a while.

Now I understand that there is the overall car doors lock-and-unlock buttons on the dashboard. So from the driver's seat, I suppose there is no "boot release" button (which is available in most sedans)? The reason I ask this is: When my passengers are full and I need to drop off the rear seat passengers, I am hoping to be able press on a "boot open" button (from my driver's seat) so that they can exit from the rear instead of having to trouble the middle seat passengers in coming out first and unfolding their seats to let them get out. I also need not leave my driver's seat to move to the rear to manually open the boot for them to get out.

Hi Patrtan,

Will the armrest box block the hand brake? Looks like just on top if the hand brake. Is it easy to access the brake?

Hi Guys, This is the armrest I brought from Aliexpress. I did some modification and it can just fit into the hole without removing the driver armrest provided. Inside the hole have to stuff some cloth so that it can become tight fit. attachicon.gifOrlando armrest 2.jpgattachicon.gifOrlando Armrest 3.jpgattachicon.giforlando armrest 4.jpgattachicon.gifOrlando Armrest.jpg

Was considering getting the Orlando but price has moved out of my budget. [smallcry]

List price on sgcarmart is $133,999.

The current showroom net price should be around $119K, with $3K worth of Apple products. If you don't want the Apple package, the net price will be $116K.

That's a big difference between list price and showroom price.

Have to go showroom then will know the 'real' price.

Hi Diaoweifeng, access to the handbrake is no issues . You are right to say that the armrest is right above the handbrake but I can still engage the handbrake without any problem.

Any brother installed the side steps for Orlando? My 4 year old kid has difficulty to enter the car.

I'm also interested to get a set ... but haven't really seen one that looks good/suitable.
