Aeromania 1st Gear September 14, 2011 Share September 14, 2011 brakes suppose to last very long one. 25000km no problem one. my previous brake pad used around 60000km then change. But if you using slotted rotors then will consume more.
Saggi 1st Gear September 14, 2011 Share September 14, 2011 better to add some coolent as it is anti rust ! it rust ( metal) it will get the radiation rusted..that cause leak.... some coolent will will good to prevent rust if your have not rusted.. if not a simple flush ... or replacement.. coolent flsuh is very easy for Jap car.. just open the bottom tap when the car is cold... then replace wit coolent and water.. that it..done !! Chucky2007 Turbocharged September 16, 2011 Author Share September 16, 2011 I went to service my car on Wednesday.. Same workshop for past 5years, think their price have been increasing.. What do u guys think? Normal price or consider cheap? I bought my own EO, which is 5quart of Amsoil 0w20 cost $72.50 What I paid for the servicing.. 1) Oil filter & oil change labour $25 2) Mobil DOT4 brake fluid 2 bottle $18 3) service brake- bleed and clean $35 4) change gearbox oil, oil +service charge. 8 litre of DiaQueen SPIII $120 5) clean throttle body $50 6) change aircon filter $26 Total $346.50 including cost of EO.. I estimate that Workshop charge me a total of around $135 just on labour cost.. Time spent around 1 hr 40 minutes, that's excluding what they earn from selling me the ATF & Brake fluid. What's yr opinion? I'm just curious whether should I explore other workshop? I have been using them for so long but service cost has been increasing. Just wondering
Yuan 6th Gear September 17, 2011 Share September 17, 2011 Guys thanks for advice As for coolant, it is advisable to change during those major servicing intervals like 40k, 80k or 120k. Check your car manual. Each car is different. As for brake fluid, it is advisable to change once a year or every 2 years due to our start stop traffic conditions in Singapore. Eng40765 1st Gear September 19, 2011 Share September 19, 2011 With your mileage, in my opinion, it is advisable to change your coolant. Will ask during the next servicing but the pink coolant still looks nice in the reservoir. ↡ Advertisement
