Fastfive1 5th Gear September 17, 2011 Share September 17, 2011 I have no other leisure if there's no ICE Haha. ICE is fun but very costly. Every now and then i wanna change speakers or headunit. Just got a pair of new 4 inch speakers for my dash to get a stronger bass. The bass is strong, mids and highs are clear at the same time. That's balance! ↡ Advertisement
S7rik3R Clutched September 17, 2011 Author Share September 17, 2011 (edited) Day 13 (Today) I finally got my car back and the damage was clearly done by the Audio Installer. TWM finally source the problem which was a "CLEAR CUT" by the Audio Installer done by "FAREAST AUTO". The cut on one wire have damage the sensor from working on the radiator. Luckily engine never Ka Boom cause it keeps overheating when engine is turn on. Now the problem is FAREAST Auto trying to push away the blame and refuse to compensate. I got a call from TWM today around 1400hrs that my car is ready for collection and the problem lies with the clear cut on the wire to the ECT Sensor II from functioning. FAREAST AUTO Boss Andy told me to call him when I reach the TWM and wants to speak to Mechanic on regarding the problems with it. The Mechanic spoke to him on the phone and told him that the problem was a "CLEAR CUT" on the wire connected to the ECT Sensor II that have been accidently cut when installing the tweeter. After spoken, I head down to FAREAST AUTO to look for Andy on regards of the compensation. Andy wants to check so I open the bonnet to let him see and I told him you cant see unless you remove the entire dashboard inside the car but he seem refusing to compensate for the damage and the next thing he mention:- I cannot compensate you on Cash but I can give you FREE sound proofing on the doors. I told him "NO" I Don't want any more items from your shop. Then he says he will only compensate unless he sees where is the damage ... and he wanted me to drive back to his shop on Monday for his guys to check. I told him "YOU WASTED MY ENTIRE TWO WEEKS" and I have to take cab and it cost me $80 bucks or more everyday. So How To Claim On This ?? He starts raise his voice and I also raise my voice ... I told him so you are not going to compensate? He says he needs to verify with TWM before compensate. I told him, you call TWM on Monday and I will give you my account nos. to credit the damage compensation and don't expect me to come over to your shop for you to check on the damages again since TWM themselve already verified and don't expect me to waste my trip and time to it. If Andy of FAREAST AUTO don't call me on Monday, I will just head over and launch a Lawsuit against them. If a company cant afford to compensate $150/- on the damages done to customer car, I suppose this kind of company should "NEVER" Exist. For me I'm 110% Guarantee Win ... cause it's done and check by TWM ... Remarks :- STAY AWAY FROM FAREAST AUTO Edited September 17, 2011 by S7rik3R

Fastfive1 5th Gear September 17, 2011 Share September 17, 2011 Man you really knows how to enjoy life Not quite. I want to change but i'm restricting myself from doing so because it's expensive in the long run. That's why i try to get what i feel suits my needs and budget. i paid about 300 for my current pioneer headunit as well as 600 for 3 sets of rockford fosgate coaxial speakers (2 of which are currently in my ride). Fastfive1 5th Gear September 17, 2011 Share September 17, 2011 Then he better be prepare to "TEAR DOWN" his Sign Board FAREAST AUTO Since he wants to play this kind of childs play ... I will just go back and pay a visit my ex lawfirm i work and have coffee with the lawyer. This sounds very similar to things that happen in sim lim square where the guy will over charge you while you're unaware, once you find out that he has and you try to go back to the guy to ask him to give you a partial refund, he'll refuse and try to give you some nonsense freebie. Not trying to be a wet blanket but i think the person won't compensate you and trying to bring the person to court may end up costing you more should he decide not to compensate you. Unless of course you're suing him for a huge sum of money and you don't mind spending a whole lot of time in court. The reason i say this is because there was no written agreement that says that he'll compensate you for whatever expenses you incur trying to get your car fixed. Such people have obviously no shame in what they do. At the end of the day it's best to do research about certain installers and the products you're purchasing. If he thinks his too smart to swallow the money and get away with it? I don't think ... lets just wait till Monday before I starts taking action. Consider it as a Part of my job ... Haha alright. I hope you get your cash back. Anyway i forgot to add that when it comes to installation of speakers (especially if it's just replacing your old ones in the factory speaker holes), you should be able to replace them on your own if you watch a youtube video on how to do them. That's how i learnt how to install the sound system in my ride on my own. I don't trust these workshops especially if they have not received any reviews. They will vanish but they'll reappear as another shop with a different name or some of the staff will move to another shop to work. I've seen one douchebag with thin white rebonded hair who tried to rip me off by saying it'll cost 400 to 500 bucks when he found out the PSP i wanted was one that was a limited edition. He has moved from that particular shop to another shop to work. When i asked why so expensive, he still has the nerve to talk to me about demand and supply when he is clearly an uneducated moron who doesn't know any other economic terms other than demand and supply. When i asked his whether he knows about elasticity of demand, it was like he had a dick in his mouth because he was stunned. I went to another shop to get it. it cost me 325. Still the guy tried to cheat me of a few dollars by adding a gst of more than 7% thinking that i failed math. Luckily i did my calculations on my phone's calculator before payment. With regard to these unscrupulous people, i don't see the point of making a short term gain only to end up making a loss in the long term. If it's at sim lim i kinda understand but don't agree on why they do that, tourist will buy and won't go back to the shop for a dispute unless they are here for a few days. But audio shops? Kinda stupid because they're serving singaporeans who will not hesitate to blacklist them causing their reputation to go down the bog. All the best. Wow Bro, u very pro in analyse situation like this ... maybe Singapore should fund in more support for us and more peoples like you to help fight against dealers like this. Cause besides dealers like this and also the rapid increase of SCAM in Singapore, it's very tough to nail all of them down in very short term. Especially when the pay is and no one wants the job. Sim Lim is Forever "RED SPOT", while many smaller dealers out there trying to scare you by their words and trying to push their luck. I sure their luck going to end here ... But I believe many did not realise that a rapid growth in Scam Syndicate are involving in Town area now. Don't just look at "HOW BIG" the Company or Organization is ... surface is just a cover but you needs to find the source and background of the company. Sunshine Empire is a very good example ... Not quite. It's just that i happen to observe certain patterns that keep occurring. I'm a person who likes math so i tend to look for patterns. Yeah the relevant Singapore authorities should do something about people like that. However what you said was right, it is very difficult to enforce. Even if you happen to reduce the number of people engaging in such trade, it will never go away completely. Unless the punishment is very severe. Then again we would be seen as very authoritarian. Another place is Lucky Plaza. Such trends exist in the various industries in Singapore. Car Dealers would be another good example that many of us can relate to. I believe there's a thread on this. Yeah that is a very good example of a Ponzi Scheme that was disguised very well. Glad your car's fine now. Is your ICE hooked up or is it still disconnected? "Man In Suit" will patronise their shop. It's not properly hook up, cause left side speaker sound very soft ... while right side is ok. So I remove the doors and check the cabling seems ok. So I remove the HU and realise it's not connected properly. But I have fix all the simple stuff ...
