S7rik3R Clutched September 9, 2011 Share September 9, 2011 I have just installed I.C.E in my ride but after installing, the engine light pop up immediately in the dashboard after I start the engine at the shop. Not even move out yet. Dealer was trying to push the error message is not from them and might be my previous "Open Pod" but I have no issue for pass 03 month after using until The system was installed on Monday and I ask the dealer why this is happening to my car after installing the 4-Channel and Monobloc at their shop. The shop itself doesn't have the digital equipment to check the error so they ask me to send in to one of their recommended service workshop they know. Send in to the workshop, Diagnose report shows P2185 ECT Sensor 2 Circuit High Voltage Then on Day Two, they told me to drive back to their shop to check the wiring and next the mention it might be my E-Throttle that cause this problem. I told them you can unplug and test ... the engine light still comes up. Wasted the whole second day and nothing is done. Day Three, they ask me to go Sin Ming workshop to check again and have to left my car there overnight and I left it there and next day I call the workshop up they told me nothing wrong with my car but the engine light still comes up.  Day Four, I went to search for other workshop that can Diagnose and fix but same thing no matter how the reset the codes, once engine is off and restart again, the engine light comes up again.   Best Of All, no workshop knows how to fix it until today. It doesn't seems to work by resetting the codes ... Anyone have this problems before or anyone knows where can I send it to fix? ↡ Advertisement

S7rik3R Clutched September 9, 2011 Author Share September 9, 2011 Hi Bro, I only saw them disconnecting the connection from the Car Battery only. They didn't disconnect the whole system and wiring. What I'm worried now is they might have accidentally shorted the PCM during the cabling. Cause there are so many wires around and they even forgot to connect the switch back for my power windows. Now I'm really stuck ... cause no one knows how to fix it and even the installer themselves doesn't know what went wrong.
Bluemice 2nd Gear September 10, 2011 Share September 10, 2011 rules of troubleshooting... 1. Do you know what has changed ? 2. is the fault repeatable ? if yes then repeat it. 3. do you know when is the last set of "good" operating conditions / product ? if yes, then replicate it. #1 - usually , every1 will say "Nothing has changed" ! then if its Yes for both #2 & #3, do so, which mean = dekit your ICE. no need to do much, just disconnect your AMP power supply and at AMP side disconnect all connection, do rem to cover any loose points. if fault still occurs, disconnect all wiring within the ICE, meaning speak <-> amp, amp <-> HU, Amp <-> 12V_batt or 12V_ACC, etc... if fault still occurs, grad a tech/troubleshoot manual for your ride/model and UNDERSTAND wats the meaning of that fault code, and what hardware is related to the item, and troubleshoot there ( this should ideally be the 1st step, but usually it means a trip to the agent) mice

Edwinatie September 10, 2011 Share September 10, 2011 It is due to the ECU can't cope with the sudden high voltage changes, let it run afew days and reset the ECU again. Hope it helps if not it gonna cost you a big bomb cos the agent will recommend you change a new ECU.
Renegade777 5th Gear September 10, 2011 Share September 10, 2011 (edited) disconnect ICE and see if the error code disappears. I am no expert. Think error will still be there unless you disconnect ice and reset using diagnostic tools and replace fuse too. And they don't even have the Diagnose Tool to check and causes me ONE Whole week no work, Boss going to fire me just because of the car issue. Really Pissed Off ... The Money and Time wasted there and still cant be solve. On second day I already told the audio shop that I will send in to my own agent to check and get it fix. But he insist of using his workshop that he knows can fix. But so many days there in their workshop nothing is done and cannot be fix. Hopefully my agent can fix it by next week and I will send the bill to them. [mad] Edited September 10, 2011 by S7rik3R
S7rik3R Clutched September 10, 2011 Author Share September 10, 2011 What is the shop's name? I don't think I will reveal the shop name for now unless they don't pay for my damages done to my car.

Hope it helps if not it gonna cost you a big bomb cos the agent will recommend you change a new ECU. I went down to 3-4 Diagnose Shop already and the problem and report all showing the same code. And all of the workshop says it's the "Engine Coolant Temperature" Circuit High Voltage. So most likely it's the wiring issues as once the I.C.E is fix, I start my engine, the light immediately came out. Before the installation I have no issue on my ride. It should be due to the open and close circuit connection when they are doing the wiring. Now I don't think I will drive this two days cause the engine is Super HOT and FC is MADDNESS. Just pump full tank on Thursday and Friday left less than Half Tank cause of the sensor issue. [bigcry]
S7rik3R Clutched September 10, 2011 Author Share September 10, 2011 I am no expert. Think error will still be there unless you disconnect ice and reset using diagnostic tools and replace fuse too. Yup I will inform my direct agent to remove the I.C.E wiring on Monday and check which part of the wiring did they connect wrongly. As for the Fuse, which fuse do you mean? The Amplifier and Monobloc fuse connect directly to the Car Battery??

Surf around for shops that are familiar with your car make/model. I purchase the monobloc from Ubi and they pushes me to that installer to fix. I have to pay the installed fees to the dealer where I bought the monobloc from as they only sell sound system and they doesn't have installer. The dealer who sells me the monobloc told me that the workmanship not bad thats why ... Haizz.
