I beg to differ. Looking at the lot marking and dotted line depicting the line of travel within the car park, the lot might be too small (<5.4m required by law for parallel parking).

If the driver park with it rear within the box, it front might be in the path of moving vehicles. Care to share where is this place?

good call! the design of the lot is weird. the curved dotted lines at the sides makes it risky, front may be hit if he parked properly

Unless reflective poles are installed along the dotted lines...

What is your opinion of this person's actions? Will you have reported these 2 cars for illegal parking too?

I mean if a car is illegally parked but is not causing obstruction in any way, I think I'd have let it slide. Besides, it is not in my nature to be a bao toh kia and so openly brag about it.

Don't drag parking in handicap lots, loading bays etc. Focus on this type of illegal parking for discussion this time.

Seriously can't be bothered if the car don't obstruct traffic.

Some people really have a lot of time.

Not sure about the place in question, but I suppose while not too competent, LTA must have a reason for painting double (not only single) zig zag line there. I think double zig zag is justified only if even the shortest stops, will cause problems for other road users, so it's not so much of a 'luxury cars wanna save on parking fees matter' bah...

And following this logic - that congestion can form quickly - then i think it's everybody's responsibility to report the errant driver(s).

Of course, the photo showed otherwise, in that there doesn't seem to be other vehicles on the road even, so can't be sure whether the logic above can apply to this place or not.

If there is no risk/likelihood of obstruction, as you suggested, then indeed there's no reason to be too particular about it lah. Got time i rather catch a nap [laugh]
