Joajas Neutral Newbie September 7, 2011 Share September 7, 2011 (edited) Having tried both, here's my input. Philips X-treme last longer than Osram Nightbreaker but not by much. I have moved on to use 65W bulbs, they are friendly on the wire harness, last way longer and they are as bright as these 2 types. The only downside is I could not find them locally and had to buy online. Edited September 7, 2011 by Joajas ↡ Advertisement

Got some forum sellers paddling fakes osram from china couple of years back.. all say can do 7 dAy or 1 month 1 for 1 exchange, which is ridiculous... Agreed, Osram used to be reliable, but many are made in Indonesia & neighbouring countries, so are Philips brand, cant say much though.

A dealer told me osram car bulbs are all made in Germany only.. No made in other countries. If it's claims to be made in china or indo osram, most likely fakes
Terry_gerrard Neutral Newbie September 8, 2011 Share September 8, 2011 All light is very subjective. Base on Osram is value for money. Now things where got reilable for 10years? Even electronic items tech move so fast and things built not durable as before. Osram or philips all made from other countries, eg china ...etc

Forget the Osram NB. Most pple use only last a few months. I also use only abt 6 months blow. Philips I use can last fr >3 years even. I tried Vision Plus n now using Premium. All can last much longer than NB.

Those normal Osram bulbs can last longer but NightBreaker never seems to last more than a few months only compared to a few years fr Philips.

The new Osram NB + version are designed to last 50% longer than previous NB, est bulb life around 500-800hr, same as Philips XV which is rated to last around 500hr. Very similar to regular normal bulbs (last 400-500hr) now.

Better than Osram who sell bulbs which cost about $70/pr that only last a few months. Really cheating. Even if now ty say their new bulb can last XXX no. of hours, I wont trust them so easily. I wil stick with tried n trusted Philips anyday.
