1fast1 Supersonic September 2, 2011 Share September 2, 2011 (edited) Wikileaks continues to impress, but there are no real surprises here. Anyone with a modicum of intelligence and honesty here would've long realised that Sg does not have a free press. Of course, objective evidence like this helps to corner the running dogs (including the rabid pups on this forum) and leave them without wiggle-room to bark "no grounds!" to protect their masters. Darryn Turbocharged September 2, 2011 Share September 2, 2011 To TS if I were you I'd delete that post. Public Info already - why delete? But aside from the names mentioned - this is all stuff that I have heard before. It is a pretty common lament. The only difference is that this time it is coming from senior reporters. Just look at who is the ex head of SPH - and what position he held in gubermint.

It's pretty disgusting though to release names and stuff like that - these people have careers to build, and to turn them into some sort of political spokesperson without their permission is pretty awful. Actually for Wikileak, take it with a pinch of salt. those thing they posted cannot be verify as its like telling ISA to come out and verify their finding. While you have a point, remember that these people were not direct sources for Wikileaks, and journalists are only under an ethical obligation to protect their confidential sources. "Tattling" on or spying on, and thereby exposing, others is not considered a breach; in fact, a truly free press is fearlessly and ruthlessly disrespectful of persons, especially those in power or holding some sort of position of responsibility. Yes, these senior journos, editors etc. mentioned by name have careers to build, mouths to feed, etc. But remember that they're doing so by compromising their own personal and professional ethics by working in (and promoting) a dishonest system. They're also complicit in the duplicity the gahmen inflicts upon the populace. Simply put, these guys are part of the problem, and therefore deserve to be exposed - at least their private moments of self-recrimination may prove to have some real value if aired to the world.
