I think OP is talking about this http://mycpf.cpf.gov.sg/CPF/News/News-Rele...N_31May2010.htm

Contribution ceiling (for our salary) is not being changed....thee amount you must have as the minimum sum is....

If I read that release right.

Is interesting that the minimum sum is inflation indexed - I didn't know that until today.

Here is the link - http://mycpf.cpf.gov.sg/NR/rdonlyres/1F4B0...ressRelease.pdf

Starting today, the ceiling is indeed going up by $500.

Bah humbug - more of my money going to CPF

i am more against it going towards SA and MA, because it means more of my money goes to where i cannot touch now except until when i am one step away from my grave.

Of course if you become a quitter you can get it all - it doesn't matter which account it is in....

i know some older folks contemplating becoming a quitter to take out all the money in cpf to retire at another country.

Between property, Ordinary, Special and Medisave accounts the amount can be substanial.

Of course the issue is that not many countries want "the elderly" - unless you are megarich or an entrepreneur
