Any checklist for pick-up rent car?

Hi..,

usually when you rent car, when pick-up the car, what compulsory checklist must have?

When pick up car depends when you want to rent the car lo. But if you rent over the weekends, usually the pick-up day will be on fri and return on mon.

 

No need checklist, you just need to check the exterior of the car for any dents and scratches and inform to the rental co. Also check the interior for dirty car mats, seats, whether the radio/CD is working and also the lights before driving off.

I wonder, is it too much if i use new car checklist (http://www.mycarforum.com/index.php?showtopic=1802820)?

I mean for company is nothing to loose, and for the rental is to protect them self in case any dispute during return the car.

I didnt rent a car but had a replacement car after a road accident.

 

They claimed that existing damaged was caused by me. Take some photos if there is already existing damage.
