Dear All,

1st time- Juz go to any travel agency office and take the itinerary, check out hte famous and popular places to go.

For foodie: Try roast pigeon, seafood at their Zi Char alley, wan tan noodles, follow the crowds where most HKongers goes after dinner, ask around...

Bring lots of money and credit cards.

It's not Free. Things have to use money to buy over there.

It's not Easy. You have to know how to speak Cantoness.

So don't get conned.

Don't come back and argue with the tour company who sold you the Free&Easy package.

Actually....HK is just like Simgapore lately. I go there....I might as well save the air ticket and spend my whole day in orchard road....shopping and eating is exactly the same.

Must buy travel insurance. I nearly die from eating the HK road side food. Major food poisoning. If I were U I would spend some day at shenzhen...Macau not that fun unless u r intrested in the history or casino.

Please dun listens to those who talk nonsense. There is definitely different between HK and SG in terms of foods, shopping and places of attraction.

Suggest you visit the following places if you are there for the first time:

Lantau Island. Please refer to the following link for guides on how to get there.

http://www.np360.com.hk/html/eng/front/index.asp

Ocean Park

Disneyland

Victoria Harbour/Avenue of Stars. Travel up to The Peak or visit the Avenue of Stars along the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade for spectacular harbour views and to catch the magnificent A Symphony of Lights along the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront between the Avenue of Stars and the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. This spectacular multimedia display starts around 8.00pm nightly and lasted about half an hours.

Must try the Wontan & Noodle there. I have yet to find one in SG that is better than those served in HK. If you happen to be at Causeway Bay, look for one eating shop opp the SOGO Dept Store just above Causeway Bay MTR station, try the porridge there.

Get hold of a MTR Map and buy a MTR Tourist Day Pass and you can go places by their MTR

How many days?? I think it is quite common to cover places on both side of Vic Habour like Tsim Sha Tsui and Mong Kok...central...causeway bay etc...

just take a map when u in the airport and just cover the areas in the map...that should be good for for a 4d or 5d trip already...

can also go sai kung for some seafood...but got to take mrt and transfer to small bus lar...then go the peak also...

food wise...see where the locals go...and u just go follow...probably it will not go too wrong...

Came back in march.

Buy octopus card... Refundable like our Ezilink card. All attractions can take mtr

If group of 4-5, take cab more worth it. Cab can seat max 5. Take cab to n from from airport also cheaper

Go nong ping 360. Once there, q up, people ask u want tour? Only at the booth there, orange green uniform, say yes. Pay slightly more but can skip Q, just ask. Worth it.

Disneyland take mtr

Free and easy is the best to see HK.

Use their MTR ( same as our MRT) to get you to vaious places, and it is the best tpt option to beat traffic jams.

seem like you enjoyed yourself when you visited there ... so did you follow group tour or F&E ?

if group tour, which co left such a good impression on you.

i really hate those guides that bring you to those "contracted" shop and stop there for a very long time, then end up having to rush when you are actually touring the place....e.g. china group tours.

FOOD!

Any food biz that can survive in hk, is probably x100 better than that you can get in sgp.....serious! any types, roadside stalls/ small shops included..... just go in & try.
