Anyone Looking Forward to FT86??

It should be coming early next yr I think...... Waiting for it for a long long time already.

Only downside is that I feel its going to be a relatively heavy car. I would prefer something like the AE86, 1.6L 4AGE 20V (perhaps an improved version with VVTi) and minimalist interior to save weight, optional radio.... that would be cool!!

Looking forward is for sure.

But can boneo priced it affordable?

Look at the price of budget altis and Camry.....already so ex.

I assume fT86 will be priced above as premium sport cars.....

The only chance it can get good sales is if the price is within the VW golf or Scirocco range. If not it will be a niche market for rich people.

Saw the specs in a popular Jap car mag early this year..

IMHO, I was expecting more from the new boxer engine.

Talking about the engine, I am somewhat dissapointed....

I am hoping for it to be an improved 3SGE or 4AGE. But instead, Toyota decide to use a Subaru Boxer instead.....

The Subaru version will have a better engine and more power (260hp). But it looks like being a WRX 2.5 block rather than an STi block. Why did they go for the former instead of the latter, and 300+hp?

Maybe Subaru will follow-up shortly with an STi equivalent.
