The many people who drives Camry sure know alot about nuts and bolts. They buy Camry is for comfort and branding and most impt bring them from point A to B safely which the Camry handles well or is sufficent enough at that pace. Friendstar Supercharged December 18, 2011 Share December 18, 2011 so i guess u are driving a pathetic worst sales jap car(mazda).. for your mazda u find is good cos u havent tried camry.. resales value for Toyota is still far better than your pathetic ride(sorry to hurt your feel) I look at ur nick and can understand where u r coming from. Btw a MIJ Mazda can fetch a higher resale than a MIT Toyota anytime. Don't think 2nd hand buyers donno how to bargain down using the MIT Achilles heels
PowerMaxII 1st Gear December 18, 2011 Share December 18, 2011 lol im driving a humble 1.5 Lancer no fight for any of the rides you all mentioned haha "know nuts" is a mistake, sorry for using wrong template. more of preferences other than handling for Camry buyers Why all so serious? the car companies should hire you all to defend their brand names

Cos "know nuts about handling" is insulting to Camry owners. I dun drive camry but I know 1st time buyer wont (most likely) buy camry as their first car. They may have driven Lancer/ Civic/ Impreza/ WRX/ Accord/..etc in the past. Now "older" liao so wan something less "hiong" and more comfort. On the other hand, if I buy camry I will change to bigger rims, install coilover and put struct bar.

Neber do homework sure lose more money if you don't know what you are buying. Mazda6 can neber have higher resale value becoz it is not a popular car. Difficult to sell. This current M6, a relatively new model resale value especially within the first 3 years is hard fight with the old model Camry. It still lose abit in pricing to the old Tom Yam. But thereafter the first few years, the Camry resale value overtake M6 by leaps and bounds. Check the resale market for 2007 years and below. You be shock what M6 prices are like. Drive afew more years down the road, the resale value becomes that bad. Edited December 19, 2011 by Renegade777
Wizzercool 1st Gear December 19, 2011 Share December 19, 2011 OMG!!!pls compare apple vs apple lei,why compare jap vs conti Cheers bro,X'mas is near.. Agreed, let's be fair and shoot others down due to our ego, we should compare car in the same price bracket and size. Camry does not have the best handling, but it definitely handle better than a lot of Japanese, Chinese and Korean cars. Therefore it wrong to say that Camry's handling is bad. We should look at Camry as an overall package and not just pin point on those less impressive areas, because we buy car not because of one aspect (example handling) only. On this note, look at the "bell & whistle" bundled in Camry and compared it with the equivalent Conti/Korean/Jap models in the same price bracket. How many can match it? Just to share 3 examples; Volvo does not have auto-headlight, Skoda Superb & Mondeo are still using handbrake, Mondoe does not have smart entry. My only complain about Camry is NO TURBO engine. It seems that Toyota is going towards battery solution instead adv mechanical combustion technology. The current Camry is 2.4L and the new version is 2.5L, SG road tax is a "pain" for this mid size car.

Topspin 2nd Gear December 20, 2011 Share December 20, 2011 (edited) Looks a little like the flagship Toyota Crown which cost very much more. Quite nice interior, but could be nicer if it has a black leather option. Decline an incredible offer price way back in 2009 ($75K 2 liter version from BM, $3K COE) because it did not have black leather option.
