Received below email from hotmail, not sure is a true or a scam.

Any bros using hotmail received the same email?

CONFIRM YOUR WINDOWS LIVE ACCOUNT SERVICES. VERIFY YOUR FREE HOTMAIL ACCOUNT NOW !!!

 

 

 

This Email is from Hotmail Customer Care and we are sending it to every Hotmail Email User Accounts Owner for safety. we are having congestion due to the anonymous registration of Hotmail accounts so we are shutting down some Hotmail accounts and your account was among those to be deleted. We are sending this email to you so that you can verify and let us know if you still want to use this account. If you are still interested please confirm your account by filling the space below.Your User name, password, date of birth and your country information would be needed to verify your account.

 

Due to the congestion in all Hotmail users and removal of all unused Hotmail Accounts, Hotmail would be shutting down all unused Accounts, You will have to confirm your E-mail by filling out your Login Information below after clicking the reply button, or your account will be suspended after two weeks for security reasons.

This mail is confirm a scam. Hotmail Admin would not required you to provided user name and password. If u are afraid it is not a scam, just foward this mail to hotmail admin.

Usually these are scams to obtain username and password.

 

If you read the link before you clicked, it will most likely bring you somewhere where it is NOT remotely connected with microsoft or hotmail.

 

Someone just rigged up a fake website to collect data and then hecked your email.

For most OS and applications, the administrator can read your acct username but he cannot read your password.

It is usually encrypted.

However, he can reset your password to any he desires.

 

That is why most website allows you to reset your password to what they create for you.

Then they expect you to change your password.

 

No proper emails or bank accts or whatever will ask you for username and password, whatever they claim.

It is 99.9% scam.
