Maxus-MIFA9 Supersonic August 23, 2011 Share August 23, 2011 If they really from Hotmail, why need to type our 'password'. Why must we review our password to them???????
Kb27 Supersonic August 23, 2011 Share August 23, 2011 (edited) Usually these are scams to obtain username and password. If you read the link before you clicked, it will most likely bring you somewhere where it is NOT remotely connected with microsoft or hotmail. Someone just rigged up a fake website to collect data and then hecked your email. Edited August 23, 2011 by Kb27

Kb27 Supersonic August 23, 2011 Share August 23, 2011 For most OS and applications, the administrator can read your acct username but he cannot read your password. It is usually encrypted. However, he can reset your password to any he desires. That is why most website allows you to reset your password to what they create for you. Then they expect you to change your password. No proper emails or bank accts or whatever will ask you for username and password, whatever they claim. It is 99.9% scam.
