Ngsengpoh Neutral Newbie November 23, 2011 Share November 23, 2011 for the fuel gauge to drop very fast for the 1st quarter is normal, i less than 100km already 3/4 but your 'Pumped 36.3 litres (empty light on) run 369.4km' is very bad, i can go till 500km then light up, at worse 460km if full load and lotsa city driving. Hi, I'm thinking of getting the car full servicing. Just bought this car not long ago. Don't know whether the previous owner doing the servicing. ↡ Advertisement

Ngsengpoh Neutral Newbie November 23, 2011 Share November 23, 2011 How can it be possible that KIA Cerato have a FC of 7km/Litre?? U park your car at some parks for some pleasure every night or u din service the car at all?? An avg 2Litre NA car will probably get around 9-10km/Litre.. Hi, my previous KIA Cerato indeed drink petrol like water. I had also done my servicing every 10000km using 5-40 engine oil. No choice but to sell it away. Ngsengpoh Neutral Newbie November 23, 2011 Share November 23, 2011 yup this is very normal. im driving the latio sports cvt. getting around 480-500km for a full tank. maybe u can try doing a proper service first. or u can consider doing a CVT change at the Workshop. all these shld help to improve ur FC. my is 100% stock, using 5w40 Blitz Engine oil. Hi bro, normally how much will it cost to change the CVT oil? Any workshop can recommend??

Ngsengpoh Neutral Newbie November 23, 2011 Share November 23, 2011 unless your final gear ratio is veryyyyyy short, i doubt that your cruising rpm at 90~100km/h is going to be anything more than 3500rpm even for manual transmission. To clear carbon, best to drag and sustain rpm at 5500rpm or beyond for about 10 seconds. Repeat this for at least 5 to 7 times. Hi, thks for your info. Will give a try on it. Detach8 5th Gear November 23, 2011 Share November 23, 2011 It's normalll............. A lot of people have misconception of Latio FC. Latio FC is not 14-15km/l. That's rubbish. Even if you have CVT, you'll average 12-14km/l. For those with 4AT (4AT Gears have "D", "2" and "1" instead of CVT only "D" and "L") you will average only 11-12km/l. Cutelmo Neutral Newbie November 23, 2011 Share November 23, 2011 Sorry to hijack the thread. How are we able to know at what cruising speed are we looking at when we are on the highway to have a better FC (For sedan car)? Is it possible to have a 19km/L fc for sedan latio using a esso 5000 and highway 70-80% ?

Toyota Altis gives around 11-12km/l also.

Is it possible to have a 19km/L fc for sedan latio using a esso 5000 and highway 70-80% ? The optimal speed is the highest gear at around 1,800-2,000 rpm. I think for Latio it's around 80-90kph for 4AT and around 90-100kph for CVT. Conti cars with a FC gauge will be easy to tell. Those with 5-6 speed gearboxes should cruise comfortably at around 100-110kph and achieve max FC (approx 18km/l for most 2.0l NA cars)

Its good to know that Nissan Latio has improved FC vs the sunny age. I like nissan for the pickup, zippy and cheap maintenance but the only thing is FC of the sunny which is at the same time a cheap Jap good car to own. ↡ Advertisement
