My previous tyre is the Pirelli P Zero Rosso, and my dad's car is on csc3.

If you want to a sporty tyre, the pirelli tyre is better in both wet and dry grip compared to the csc3.

Pirelli have a very stiff tyre wall, and the turn is very precise and sharp. Csc3 is not as harsh or noisy as compared to the pirelli.

I am using bridgestone Re001 now ...

yes pirelli is from italy

Pirelli & C. SpA is a diverse multinational company based in Milan, Italy. The company, the world

I used both PS3 and currently on CSC3

Both have soft side walls.

Personally i feel the grip of PS3 is better than CSC3, esp in the wets.

And if i am not wrong, CSC3 has a lower wear rate than PS3.

Will go back to PS3 next time unless there is a better choice coming up

yes the sidewall of the CSC3 is quite soft, thats why I dont like it.

My current RE001 sidewall is a little bit stiffer compared to the CSC3 ( but still softer then the Pirelli),

but still equally quiet and comfortable. ( okie maybe a tiny bit noiser )

I prefer something with a stiff sidewall and if given a choice, I would go back to the Pirelli P Zero Rosso ... just that its quite hard to find and it's quite expensive.

Pirelli P Zero Rosso > Bridgestone Re001 > CSC3. The performance between the CSC3 and RE001 is very close.

I don't really like the PS3 due to the softer sidewall ...

My 2 cents worth. [:)]

Why got KU36 up there? That tyre cannot be compared to the other 3 in terms of wet grip and price at all.

I'm on PS2 but apparently the PS3 arent as good. If you're into comfort and longevity, probably get CSC3 because they wear better. Pirellis got pretty bad wearing reviews both online and my friend's 125ci.

On PS3's now. Used CSC3 on my previous car.

PS3's are overall better to me. Better grip in wet and dry, more comfortable, quiter and less fragile when you scrub it against a kerb or something. The noise level of CSC3 after 30k is also not good.

One of the MCFer recommend that to me..

So I guess that choice is now CsC3 or PS2?

It depends on whether you like hard or soft sidewall.

CSC is the lightest and softest. PS3 is next, followed by Pirelli.

Kumho, you sure you want to try this tyre?

hi Chua,

Actually, Nooooo..... hahaha

Hi Gene,

I'm a noob when it comes to tyres.. There is a Michelin PP2 in the webpage given...

Checked Michelin, can't find PP2....

Hi Strudel,

Thanks! good info on the bad wearing of Pirellis.

My previous pirelli lasted about 40 000 km + before I itchy hand and went to change the tyre.

And still got thread left ... So it's not that bad ...

KU36 is only comparable to Federal's RS-R or Evo. Cheap and good grip during dry weather but deadly in the wet. Very good value for money for people that goes to track a lot and burn rubber like free (they're easily 30-40% cheaper than the big brands)

my all time favourite will be Bridgestone, but their tyres are too expensive.. hee

I was gonna suggest BS. You cant compare RE001 (aka Adrenalin) to PS3 or P-zero. A better comparison would be BS 050a and RE11 which should both be more than than RE001. I doubt PS3 will be cheaper than RE001. Below are some tyres which should be priced around the same (for my size, the difference between each brand is around $30USD max per tyre).

1) Michelin PS2

2) Pirelli P-Zero

3) Continental CSC3

4) Bridgestone RE050a

5) Yokohama AD08

These are all street legal performance tyres from each brand and all are good in their own ways. AD08 and P-Zero seems to be the worst in wearing and AD08 has got excellent review on grip from website and friends that use it. CSC3 and RE050a are better in terms of wearing and personally I prefer the brand (name) Bridgestone (hahaha). And PS2 is kinda in the middle which is why I've opted for them recently. I will be getting a set of AD08 next though just to see how good they are.

The current tyre i have (Maxxis), is totally crap. It came with the car when I bought it and the wet holding is just bad and it is noisy....

pirelli tyre should be

p.zero nero< pzero rosso< p.zero ?

I think so. Dont know if theres a based P-Zero though.

I think my friend's 125 came stock with the Rosso? And when I was reading on tyres, I was comparing the Nero. Anyway both have bad wearing (below 50,000km with spirited driving) from both reviews.

ps: I only read reviews based on type of cars (performance based) and reviewer's style of driving (spirited, hill climbs, tracks etc). Not just any reviews...

Bro Gad,

Still remember me? Anyway I am not sure what is your ride, but if you are looking for performance, go straight for the PSS (Pilot Super Sport) instead of PS3. I was on PS2 and then now CSC3. Got a good deal for CSC3 then. Personally I still like Michelin in terms of comfort, low noise. Can't comment on PS3 as I was on PS2. CSC3 has better wet performance than PS2 but dry PS2 to me is better.

BTW, PS3 is a replacement for PP2 which is lower end than PS2. The new PSS is the replacement of PS2. Tried PSS on my friend's GTI, I have to say its comfy, quiet and damn grippy! Just damn ex which is normal for Michelin.

So can I be the baddie and vote for PSS which is not in your list? However, I am not sure whether is there PSS for your size. If there is not, I will recommend PS3 then as CSC3 can be a little noisy. Sidewall wise both are soft when you compare CSC3 and PS2.
