ur SE already confirmed u won't get ur ride this shipment? Maybe they r just tempering ur expectations in case they need to accommodate some other buyer who may have paid a higher price?

think to be fair, ur SE should give u a good and credible explanation... though i suspect it will be something like "beyond their control.., it's the Koreans and high demand..".

otherwise, they should "compensate" u in some way for the longer wait. It's straightforward customer service & PR management.

but chin-up, bro... one of the 2 may just be registered under ur name! ... and u'll have one of the really rare, smart looking rides among us... :)

When comes to stock allocation, it is really beyond my boundaries. I can only do my best in updating my customer on the latest development and shipments. Good and credible? I leave their judgement to my customer. [cool]

Bro, got my current ride (Forte) just 2 year ago....before K5 is launch in SG. Definately 1 of the car to choice for my next ride.

the Forte is a good car too. Presuming u do get a k5 in a year or so? U will definitely get an improved version (already talk of better seats, etc in USA for 2012)

, and also probably get choice of GDI or turbocharged engines!

Ooooo... that will be nice [:p]

Yeah. No point changing now to a new car, but with a pretty old engine..... Haha.

Furthermore, Kia Korea can't catch up with the high demand for their cars, hence the long waiting times.

Wait till the 2.0TGDi 275bhp comes, or better still, if Kia chooses to put the 1.6TGDi 206bhp engine on the Optima K5!!!

Where else but in the boot???

K5 has big rear wheel arch that eat into the boot space. The opening that link to the back seat is small, not big enough for vertical mount. Behind/below the back seat is more likely for better weight distribution.....which is in the cabin space.

Wow! u really think about the possibilities, don't u.. bro st220?

The boot is not small but the wheel arch and intrusive hinges do take away otherwise useable space. Struggle compared with the sonata which had the surface mounted strut-hinge

anyway, this from motortrend review of the hybrid released in USA... " A 1.4-kilowatt-hour, lithium-polymer battery mounted behind the trunk is the keeper of chemical energy; in all, the extra hybrid equipment helps bring the curb weight to 3630 pounds." guess all the other stuff must be hidden somewhere below (undercarriage)?
