you're right, short burst up to the 90-100 kmh, still legal :D:D

ya, the old e9 still keeping me happy.... hope to hold on to it till end of COE... [:)] personally with it i hardly 'lust' for other cars so unlikely to change car........ simple taste which excludes other human comforts and brandnames etc really help me stop my $$$ from going for another car to replace it.

heard that Evo also quite comfortable to seat in for passenger. is it true?? didnt get a chance to seat in. but heard from ppl who does, they seems to think its comfortable and not bumpy for a jipun sports car.

I remember the first time I found out in one of my previous cars that flooring the throttle suddenly could actually lift off the front end of the car. But my own reaction was nothing compared to one of my passengers'..... :P

Have never had the pleasure of driving one myself, but sat in two Evo 9 before, both in front and behind, and I felt it a lot more comfortable than the other Japanese performance cars I have sat in (WRX, Integra DC2R, Civic Type R). Only thing was that in the one driven by my friend, his shifting technique wasn't that smooth and coupled with the twin plate clutch in the car it gave a nasty kick every time he changed gear. That would be more of driving technique than the problem with the car, though.

Heard Evo 10 is even more comfortable to sit in, never tried myself.

she's not tat young....maybe early 50s or late 40s....n the son is probably late 20s....so it's perfectly normal ages for mother n son, rite?

(i think a lot of ppl in sg forget tat ppl who r overseas usually dun marry as late as in sg....very normal to be married in early or mid 20s)

0-100km/h 3.5 secs on a bike is wayyy more fun though. I almost broke my neck. [:)]

if i were say 20yrs younger, will definitely go for bike.... now? [:(]

i regret not renewing my old bike license 20yrs ago (which could cover all classes then)...

i once did a 180 sparing on 4 wheels on sgp expressway playing with a bike, he let me smell smoke at the end of the 8 second run.... thumb up to him [thumbsup]

yes, similar to normal lancer and the stock bilstein suspensions seem to give good handling yet not too hard for the passengers (but my butts are not sensitive, so not all passengers agree)

but some friends say the ride was already hard when i used the stock suspensions... later i changed to hardcore ones, dare not ask them to sit :o

front seats seem ok even with the hard setting... heng, else my wife sure nag

So it seems that the Evo 9 can actually be relatively comfortable for a car in its class. Don't know why on US forums a lot of people tend to say that it feels more raw and uncomfortable than the WRX/STI? I love both cars and would gladly own either but having been a passenger in two Evo 9s and driven and sat in a few WRXs I find the Evo generally quieter, more refined and with a smoother ride - at least when driven normally [laugh]

The last I heard Mitsubishi is not working on the Evo line any more, meaning it will stop with the Evo 10. Hopefully with the protests of loyal supporters of the Evo they might change their mind - though with all the focus on reducing carbon emissions and fuel economy it may possibly get harder for manufacturers to focus on sports cars in the coming years.

actually this is how I feel too, but since I am not a typical comfort-oriented person, so didnt want to mislead others, just to be on the safe side :D
