OMG..... hope you can share this thru PM if not so convenient here..... well done!!

i do believe a professionally tuned car (engine+the rest) can beat 'bigger brother' in the hand of the right driver, the satisfaction is 'priceless'..........though not cheap usually [:)]

tssss.... yours conti or jap, engine capacity? (not that i m biased or anything, just curious)

Its very conveinient to share here because I'm not in Singapore! Lol.

I drive a Nissan Skyline R33 GTR V-Spec N1 living in Brisbane. 2.6L twin turbo.

Check the showroom and you'll find the link to my car's detail and recent club drag day.

Are they the same as the Ford XR5 turbo (newer generation)? Thats the one we have in Aus and they're a small and quick little thing.

First mod: change of rims from 15" to 17". Improved handling.

Second mod: cold air intake from foglamp area to stock airbox. Improved throttle response. Good and cheap mod IMO

Third mod: cheapo aftermarket cheena HID, now back to normal bulbs cos I gave up the idea of projector retrofits

Fourth mod: Changed ICE system to a more decent one. Enjoying the music everyday. Just ordered a new head unit and that will make things better I think, with the USB connectivity function.

Turbocharged

IIRC from the old car mag,

Swift GTi,

1.3 NA, Twin Cam 16valves EFI

Power: 100Bhp

0-100sec = 8.3 sec

Kerb Weight: 800kg

Power to weight: 125bhp/tonne

I remember The GTi can rev till 8000rpm!!

my first car in 1994 - charade. added in cyclone.

subsequently :

wira - cyclone also.

galant - open pod ( terrible - low end suffered)

toledo - piggy back ecu (got improvement)

s40t4 - stock (fast enough).

s60 - ecu remap (wow!)

along the way, one thing i learned is that if u wanna tune/mod your car, go to the specialist for your car make. best if u go back to the manufacturer's sports div if they have one. the $$ spent will be worth it cos u can really feel the diff at your butt.

there are too many snake oils in the market.

you guys in AUS are lucky... plenty of JDM skylines (R32, 33, 34...) to choose from :D

too bad the Bathursd Race banned it after 2-3 seasons in the 80s(?) .... but contrary to what you have in your signature, V8s still have their place in performance 'kingdom' [:)]
