you new the tire's too worn/old or it hit something?

what tires are you using for your monster? [;)]

Only got them in Jan and less than 10,000km travelled since. I hit something on the road but didnt realise it was puncture and continue driving for another 100m or so. Only found out after I make a left turn and POOF! It blew the lining and rubber. I hope my rims are fine though (looks ok) and they're brand new too!

OIC, with the power you haave, does the PS2 give you enough grip?... i m not familiar with the Mischelin range, is the PS2 top of the street performance tires?

might be an interesting comparison if we put the prices of tires in sgp and oz land side by side.... let me go gather some figures later [:)]

btw, what's the on the road price for a decent R34, or R33? (with moderate mods or just stock)

340awhp is not a lot of power and I have no traction issue due the Attessa AWD system.

PS2 is the top or would be 1 of the top for Michelin. IMO, its comparable to the following tyres (in terms of performance and price range)

1) Continental CSC3

2) Bridgestone RE050a

3) Bridgestone RE11

4) Pirelli P Zero Nero

5) Yokohama AD08

These tyres are around 600-700AUD each for the size I want in Australia and through Tirerack (assuming I'm getting a full set of 4), it work out to be around 400AUD each delivered.

The price is depend on the market really and you cant really compare mods because most of the time mods doesnt add to sell value of the car. Very rarely you see heavy modded cars selling for good price. Below are some guesstimates of stock or mildly modded Skylines based on my understanding. These price (AUD) are based on a good condition car without any problem and not the cheapest you find in the market.

1) R32 GTST, 5k - 10k (regardless of age)

2) R32 GTR, 15k - 20k (base model, age dependent, between 1989 to 1992, 1992 might be a V-spec which would be around 20k mark)

3) R33 GTST, 8k - 13k (regardless of age)

4) R33 GTR, 20k - 25k (base model, series 1 and 2)

5) R33 GTR Vspec, 20k - 28k (series 1 and 2, 1995 and 1996 models)

6) R33 GTR Vspec, 24k - 30k (series 3, 1997 and 1998 models)

7) R34 GTT, 15k - 20k (age dependent, 1998 and above)

8) R34 GTR, 40k - 50k (1999 model, including V-spec)

9) R34 GTR, 45k - 60k (2000 models and above, including V-spec)

10) R34 GTR V-spec II and M-spec, 55k - 65k (2000 models and above, excluding NUR)

These exclude the following limited edition series and the prices of these are largely dependent on the condition, mileage and mod list.

1) R32 GTR ADM (including Vspec, only 1989 or 90, heard less than 100 were delivered during that time before they ban ADM GTR, seen 1 going for 70k not too long ago)

2) R32 GTR V-spec N1 (1989-1992, 200+ manufactured)

3) R33 GTR V-spec N1 (1995-1998, less than 100 manufactured, got mine for a bargain due to minor rust issue which show how much condition of the car affects the price, seen one with 5,000km 1997 model going for 70k before)

4) R33 GTR V-spec 400R (1996?-1998, less than 50 manufactured, last saw one on auction going for 90k with less than 10,000km)

5) R33 GTR V-spec LM (1995-1998, less than 100 manufactured, these are probably only 5k more than price of R33 GTR from the top. Nothing special about them)

6) R34 GTR V-spec II N1 (1999-2002, less than 50 manufactured, last saw 1 selling 90k and good ones goes above 100k)

7) R34 GTR V-spec II NUR (2000-2002, 750 manufactured, typically above 70k)

8) R34 GTR M-spec NUR (2000-2002, 250 manufactured, typically above 75k)

9) R34 GTR Z-Tune (2000-2002, Nismo bought 20 base model GTR back and fully rebuilt them with 500bhp from factory, last heard 1 got sold for 170k)

If you're interested, wikipedia's got a good description of every variant. Just for comparison sake, a BMW 135 is around 75k and R35 GTR is 170k brand new.
