Zxcvb Turbocharged August 7, 2011 Share August 7, 2011 Can anybody park the car at a handicap lot with a passenger on wheelchair? Like (touchwood...) friends or relatives who are on temporary wheelchair or old folks who have walking difficulties. Thanks in advance. ↡ Advertisement

Tom_kkh 1st Gear August 8, 2011 Share August 8, 2011 handicap lots are meant for drivers who are handicap not the passenger. as they need the space to get in and out of the seats. They will tell you, you can assist them out of the car, help them to a safe spot before parking yr car in a normal lot.

Totaly correct, handicap lot doesnt meant for permanent disabled driver only, as long you dont abuse it, it applies to elderly or temp wheelchair passengers oso, theres no temporary label issued. Pltang Clutched August 8, 2011 Share August 8, 2011 (edited) http://www.cel.sg/Schemes__Car-Park-Label-...sabilities.aspx Under the Car Park Label Scheme, persons with physical disabilities with mobility constraints who drive their own vehicles or are ferried by their family members can obtain car park labels that will enable them to park at designated parking lots which are conveniently located and have a larger space for the use of mobility aids. Persons with physical disabilities, their caregivers, or voluntary welfare organisations (VWOs) with registered vehicles that regularly ferry passengers with physical disabilities can apply for the Class 1 or Class 2 Parking Label, depending on their needs. Zxcvb Turbocharged August 8, 2011 Author Share August 8, 2011 OK thanks. So the answer is can, but gotta apply for the label. If not, just unload the passenger then go park at a normal lot. ↡ Advertisement
