Speed Camera Can Causes Accidents Instead?

What your view on this?

 

Cause for myself, I realise that when I am traveling on KPE, I will be very focused on my speedometer to ensure I do not exceed 70KM/H. Due to this, I spend less time looking at the road.

 

Then I also experience several times where the vehicle in front of me brake very hard when approaching speed camera (ed speed 90 but vehicle brake till 80). I assume its to prevent himself from overshooting the 90 limit.

 

Due to this, I just wonder whats the real purpose of speed cameras? Do they actually make the road safer or create accidents instead?

i believe that actually driving too slowly will cause accidents too

Btw, I also wonder if it does anything at all.

 

Cause the cars will be traveling at over 100 (if road is not crowded), then slow down to 80-90 at the camera and then speed up again.

 

So I wonder how is making traffic slower along such a stretch of the road makes the road become safer??

Actually it does help. If kpe got no speed cam, confirm alot buggers try to clear meter in the tunnel.

Once inside the tunnel, the traffic is usually orderly, the only thing unsafe is before entering the tunnel, people start braking to reduce speed to meet the speed limit.

 

If's actually safe to drive under 80 for the whole stretch of KPE, infact for most stretches of KPE, there are plenty of cars doing more than 90km/h.

you should fix those speed warning devices that commercial vehicle use. Should be safer for you and for all KPE users

i concur..should do it along the whole stretch so the overall speed is more consistent

to speed at KPE, must always travel on the 1st lane (fast lane).

The rest of the lane are blindspot. Cant see the camera

 

if you notice those speedster, they are mostly regulars of KPE.

They already know where are the cameras position.
