Looks like it is quite a big hoo haa with the NS thingy and the FTs for education. Both issues took up quite a bit of space in teh press. Wonder what/where TT gonna speak to put the NS thingy at rest.

Well, looks like more worms coming out of closet. At this rate, no more Mr Brylcream man, he gonna change to carnauba wax for his head [laugh][laugh][laugh]

Ya looks like TT is losing even b4 he begins. [:p]

I kinda prefer that Tan CB guy. He like a dark horse. Coming from behind to take the lead. The more I read, the more he looks like the best man for the job. [thumbsup]

Hey. Do u all buy his explanation on today straits times?

Actually the article throws up another question:

How many NSF actually serve in civilian organisations THEN, specifically similar in that role his son served?

My understanding is NSF MOs or DOs have be attached to Med Ctrs during their service.

The explanation does sound reasonable. If he has specific research expertise, why waste it on doing generic MO work when he can contribute better in other areas?

Or are we going to insist that he sits in a medical centre and treat cuts/bruises/fever etc.

Oh pls bro.....

See his background, he's obviously a pap puppet. He's even the SPH chairman. If he becomes president, we are double doom. We will be like north Korea, except that we looked more well fed than the north Koreans.

Wake up! Stop being DAFT, my fellow home-grown Singaporeans..

1. TT and LKY are relatives

2. As chairman of SPH, TT is an extension of pappies to control our MSM (just like Nathan)

3. As ex-senior mgmt of GIC, don't expect TT to dig his own can of worms.

4. TT did not surface until GY dropped his particiation in Presidential Election. Obviously, he is motivated by pappies to fight the others

5. He is still active in pappies CEC until he stepped up for the election

6. He endorsed defamation practices by pappies against TLH, remember?

7. Pro-foreigner policies blah blah...

I will take TKL, TCB, TJS anytime.. [pirate]

If there are other folks serving in the same capacity then MINDEF can just list them & show that everything is above board, that no one is getting preferential treatment, if any.

In this case more so bec his father is going to run for the highest office on this land & we as voters must be appraised of every candidates' integrity & honesty.

BTW, back then we in the service were already aware of the White Horse status of some recruits before Cedric Foo mentioned about it in parliament, which by then had created a big uproar.

We old timers had a big laugh over couple of beers when Mr Foo was being pressed in parliament if these WHs were treated differently....

Neutral Newbie

My clerk also defer to study in USA and came back with Master in Computer Science back in the late 80's. At that time, Com Sc is still pretty new in SG. I don't see him being offered a place in some relevent Gov research institution or War Game centre.

Like the rest of the the cohort, he stays in, does his duty clerk duties and type daily routine orders.

But that aside, during BMT, I can attest that Master Tan DID NOT get special treatment [sly]

The problem is that the same applies to *many* people (both in Medical and non-Medical fields) who don't get preferential treatment.

whatever the story is, TT is going to win by a BIG margin

We just do our part by not voting for him.
