But my point is ask any 20 year old what is the meaning of the national anthem .. 80% won't know.. They dont even know the title of the song... 50% will tell you its MARIKITA and won't know the meaning either ... Those who say national language is English, must be FT or new citizen in disguise. Even my late uneducated Teochew grandmother who left Swatow 70 years ago knows its Malay.
