Calvin79 2nd Gear July 27, 2011 Share July 27, 2011 Honestly... compared to the standard of living to costs of parking and how much we earn, we could be ranked up there along with Oslo and Copenhagen, normally logically would be, you earn more you pay more... haha

Tom_kkh 1st Gear July 27, 2011 Share July 27, 2011 (edited) Honestly... compared to the standard of living to costs of parking and how much we earn, we could be ranked up there along with Oslo and Copenhagen Oslo and copenhagen's pay is definitely much higher than what we are been offered here. their cost is high and pay is high. our cost is high, pay is low... some waiters in europe earns more than some "managers" here... even dollar to dollar without conversion factored in. read yesterday that the chambermaid involved with the IMF ex president, she is earning US$300 per day...how many managers here earns Sin$300 per day..... Remember our national pledge... PROSPERITY comes first, then PROGRESS for the nation! reducing population will make singapore go backwards. we have no natural resources.... the mistake made was, our earlier generations were told to have only 2 kids. thats y now we need the FT, the truth hurts but we llst. all we can wish for if FT are of quality and singaporean first in policy making. Vulcann 6th Gear July 27, 2011 Author Share July 27, 2011 Golden Shoe carpark cost $3.5 per half an hr. Freaking crazy price. It is supposed to be one of the most "affordable" car parks there. However even this car park was slated to be demolished for some other developments IIRC from news reports.
