What is taken from the MINI.sg website http://www.mini.com.sg/mini/cooper_s/information/index.html Fuel consumption (urban) 9.3 l/100 km (10.75km/l) Fuel consumption (extra-urban) 5.2 l/100 km (19.23km/l) Fuel consumption (combined) 6.7 l/100 km (14.9km/l) Now to explain simi si Urban and Extra-urban, "Average fuel consumption is worked out through a series of tests. Urban fuel consumption is established through tests that emulate driving in urban environments (such as stop/start driving, braking and accelerating and little cruising), with an average speed of 19mph(or 30km/hr). Extra urban tests look at fuel consumption at higher speeds(with the usual stop/start driving, braking and accelerating and little cruising) averaging 39mph(or 62km/hr), and the average of these figures gives the combined fuel consumption figure." These are just test figures....which we know are hardly accurate. That's why there are the real world figures from current car owners to give a more accurate picture. Nf0rc3r 1st Gear July 26, 2011 Share July 26, 2011 (edited) All these figures are tested at optimum speed with no braking, no stopping, no slowing down, no upslope, no downslope, no wind, no traffic lights, no road hoggers, no goondus swerving into your lane, etc. If optimum speed is 90km/h.
