Statistics have revealed that whilst the introduction of the 'artificial' Drag Reduction System (DRS) in F1 2011 has increased overtaking in the top flight, it has not done so to the extent perhaps perceived, with the return of Pirelli tyres ostensibly yielding a greater effect.

Research conducted by Mercedes Grand Prix has generated some figures to quantify what has been widely praised as one of the most exciting and action-packed F1 seasons in recent memory this year

I would prefer that they revert back to manual gears, definitely will see more overtaking moves.

Oh yes, manual and clutch FTW!!

I don't like DRS because its an artificial overtaking device just like KERS.

But the issue with F1 is the fundamental design of the car. Because the cars are so dependent on aerodynamics, the faster car is ultimately the winner.

Look at these few years. Button won because he has the fastest car, then Vettel has the fastest car too. Now, its more like a car battle than driver battle.
