But when inspection must remember to change back to stock mid pipe cos the inspector will go down to check it with his torchlight if i`m not wrong. [:(]

ps. type wrong.

its downpipe.

mid pipe dont change.

or if want change, get the approved mid pipe to muffler.

but downpipe confirm no approved mod de.

so change downpipe cannot see one.

He is talking about 1.6i/TS. Don't have downpipe.

TS only have extractor, catpipe, midpipe then muffler.

Erm, i driven honda, mitsubishi before, i think subaru is the most easy to start up the engine and without any delay or try. I think something wrong with your car. Better send to workshop and check.

@Skyiet27

normally i would turn key halfway when indicators all light up, half a sec pause then full turn to start.

there is some sound, sort of a fan or something(?) that might drawn some current at that moment.

After that split second it started almost instantly.

for 'slow' cold start perhaps you might also check for dirty intake and throttle body.

try not to mix coolant of different type, if top up is needed, just add distilled water.

cheers.

Just curious, any Rex or STi owners intend to renew their COE once time is up? I'm actually considering doing it, though there's still 5yrs left to go for me. Hardly see people driving cars with a history/heritage anymore, or well, maybe they don't drive those rides out pretty often enough I guess haha. While its true that my ride will definitely age and cant keep up in terms of interior/exterior design, technology blah blah blah ... I still love it very much!

beside COE, there are the insurance, wear & tear breakdown along with parts availability that we need to worry about?

i am pondering about it myself. [:(]

Tks bro,

Of ya this is the thing I'm thinking

I read from other thread abt coolant

They say can't mix as Duno coolant needs what 70% n 30%

But if coolant can't mix

How come petrol kiosks selling those 1 l pack?

Puzzled....

Past few x I always hold these 1 l pack up n see see

Then always put back cos I also Duno can mix anot

Haha

Funny n complicated coolant thingy

Tks

Well, insurance will be forever, unless it starts all over again? (Pls enlighten me on this as I'm kinda new to the car scene)

Wear & tear, I guess that's something everyone faces but hey, we can always try our utmost best to keep it as healthy as possible.

As for parts availability, maybe we should start hoarding them now haha [laugh]

the point is, cars get older as we keep them.

below 10yrs might be no issue but beyond it; that may be a different story.

on insurance, it may go higher (old cars are more prone to issues, at least from ins agt point of view).

on parts, would any stockist want to stock 'barely moving' parts?

will it be worth it in a long run (as we intend to keep 'em)? that's the question.

I guess I can't answer for everyone but to me, I don't like the idea of changing rides every now and then.

When I was in KL, saw a convoy of 32s zooming about on the highways. In Sg, I can safely say the number of pre-35s are not that many. Sad fact for a legendary series of cars.

In Japan, lagi no need to say. The enthusiasts will keep their love till they wanna move on to something more powerful, or the ride's totally beyond repairs.

Not sure what I'm trying to say exactly but ... a car ain't a tool for me. Its like an extension of myself on the roads, and I enjoy every moment of it when I push it to the limits. Who know's if it'll be worth it, but I'm likely still gonna keep it till it dies on me ^_^

There's no See hor ee in malaysia and japan so it's feasible to keep the ride for generations. Over here, just the renewal of that cert is enough to turn me off.

PQP still cheaper than buying new car and paying new ARF
