Yeah, what kind of sales, personal or corporate? I was ever top in sales before, thanks to alot of luck and alot of hard work, as for rejection, it is part and parcel of the job, rejection should be treated as BAU and move on to the next prospect

Toyo 1st Gear July 19, 2011 Share July 19, 2011 Sales is all abt networking, connections. u may want to start by infoming all yr frends, relative abt yr new job. can even use FB as a platform to promote yr services, products
Sabbie Clutched July 19, 2011 Share July 19, 2011 Real estate, selling new projects Think you need to be sociable, willing to work on weekends, helps if you have an innate knowledge of the real estate market and joining a agency that markets popular projects helps also, off the cuff I can think of is huttons, they are very good with new projects, now of the good director is kelvin geow....however imho property market is not so hot now...hdb and rental should provide a more steady form of income, just my two cents

Frankly, if you think sales is all about being able to handle rejection and need thick skin...likely this is not a career for you...there is no hard and fast rule..... 1) hard work 2) good relationship 3) good network 4) good follow up 5) good speech 6) good situation awareness 7) sincerity 8) Good grooming. 9) and last but not the least....Good luck also play a part in sales... Atonchia Supersonic July 19, 2011 Share July 19, 2011 Be frank, credible, and sincere. Know your stuff really well, do not over exaggerrate. Don't hard sell. Thank them for saying NO, because 1) you do not need to waste time to follow up those who lead you in circles. 2) you learn something new why they reject the deal... Remember it's the deal...not really reject you unless you fail to impress the first few points of being frank, credible and sincere.

5936 1st Gear July 19, 2011 Share July 19, 2011 Leave you 'CHUN-YEN' at home, but you bring Humble with you. Our Chun Yen is very delicate and fragile, and can get us into trouble. So better keep them at home. When you return home, you can have your Chun Yen again. But Humble is your bodyguard.
Aimnfire 4th Gear July 19, 2011 Share July 19, 2011 one thing i hate about sales job is i can talk talk talk about the products for months but still end up zero sales worse if target are set and not met but once you can convince people, the sales will be like water rushing to you one thing for sure when doing sales is that the price usually turn people off no matter if the goods far outweight the price, once people here the price they will clam up so its good to start off from the smaller price ↡ Advertisement
