K3037 Neutral Newbie October 30, 2011 Share October 30, 2011 Open door panel to check. Maybe minor, DIY with epoxy or wire will resolve the problem. Know what need to change. So to prevent the carrothead chop. I had repaired my office's MB sprinter window, and it lasted for a few years now. The plastic slider broke. Only stitched with fine wire and bond with epoxy. I think it is even tougher than orginal. Sounds good, use fine wires and then apply epoxy. Never thought of it.

Fibo 4th Gear October 5, 2012 Share October 5, 2012 Hyundai matrix, December 2005 window on the driver side Spoilt - no response when pressing the window button. The other three windows are ok. Same problem happened three years ago and a mechanic charged $20 to tighten some loose part which I think was mechanical. Same problem occur again. I went to a new workshop and the mechanic said the motor need replacement. Part and Labour $185. can you guys advise is this a fair price, or do you think it is not the motor since the other three windows are ok?

Throttle2 Supersonic October 5, 2012 Share October 5, 2012 Dear bros, I may need your professional advise. Dis morning, while reaching my office, i begin to wind up my window as i normally wind it down during morning. As my window begins to wind up, i heard a crack sound like something broke to pieces. Then the next thing is my window cannot be wind up. I can still hear the sound of the motor running when i press the button but the window is simply not moving. I can even use my hand to pull up the window, but the max i can pull is almost fully closed... there's still a small gap to fully closed n the window stuck there... do u guys haf any idea wat happened? Thanks I know exactly what is wrong with it. The lifter or regulator of your power window is broken. It is a simple cabling system housed in a plastic frame. It is normal and common due to wear and tear. My personal experience is with continental cars, BMW , Mercy, Porsche. Replacement requires removing the door panel. for frame door, requires more adjustments for normal door, it is simpler and should take no longer than 90mins. Cost varies of course, expect to pay some labor fee. My CLS350 replaced both passenger and driver (cost $400 for one side) My 911 replace driver side (cost $400++) for japanese cars i would expect less than half that cost.
