1) Weight of fan should not exceed 6 kg

2) Clear height from finished floor level to fan blades should be at least 2.4 m

3) Hardened steel expanding bolt should not exceed 8 mm in diameter and penetration depth of steel plug should not exceed 40 mm

But just make sure its properly done. Dont want the bugger to fly off n come crashing down at full speed.

Oh so now they FINALLY approve.

 

Last time I install, ty say do at yr own risk. HDB dont approve.

 

But my current fans I think r OK cos installed by proper contractor.

Hi Guys,

I have bought a sensa 4 KDK fan from M'sia and hope like to get recommendation for electrician/contractor to install for me.

Any recommendation? Heard KDK fan needs to balanced if not it will wobble... so if you have a good electrician/contractor , please recomend.

Mine is the v60wk, and when there is wind from outside of the house, the fan will swing slightly. The yuragi function even worse, the fan will swing wildly. But I get used to it.

One way is to drop-by a electrical shop that sell KDK ceiling fan and ask them to introduce you a contractor. Say your existing fan got problem...once get the number you can tell the contractor you need him to install the fan and then negotiate a rate from there.

Any bros got any idea how much does it cost to install a ceiling fan?? 

I was like quoted like $70 odd for installing 

So I would like to know if anyone knows anyone (contractor)  as I want to do the following

 

(1) Remove existing ceiling fan with regulator with new fan and regulator  

 

(2) Install a new ceiling fan in apartment (condo) where there is a false ceiling and tap some electricity from the lights for it

Actually there are many KDK resellers around so why need to target CCMPL if you're not already familiar with them? (can visit kdk website for their info)

 

BTW, if you want it cheap, get it from JB. Ceiling fan is maybe 1/2 to 2/3 the price.
