KARTer 2nd Gear July 10, 2011 Share July 10, 2011 (edited) They showed support of their friends back home. Those back home in KL risked injuries / arrests to voice their protest yesterday. Those who live in SGP gathered at Hong Lim Park to show support for the same cause. What have 'the leaders' done to the locals here who dont care about similar issues, but only worry about whether they can upgrade their flats, whether their children get a place in 'good schools' (these are legitimate pursuits but life is more than that). Shame..... the 'rules' here make such support unlikely to happen, it just shows how freedom is 'designed' here in an unique way. Vega Turbocharged July 10, 2011 Share July 10, 2011 Actually, what you expect them to do? Burn our buildings or tear down the street lamps? I think protest should not have violent involved.
Sosaria Twincharged July 10, 2011 Share July 10, 2011 ... Shame..... the 'rules' here make such support unlikely to happen, it just shows how freedom is 'designed' here in an unique way. Well, don't you think they are subject to the same 'rules' here? I am surprised that this was allowed to go on, because hong lim park, i.e. speaker's corner - if I'm not mistaken - is supposed to be only for citizens (and prs also?) to speak 'freely'. Anyway, they are very, very safe putting up a little show of support here. If in the heart of KL, how many of the group will try it??
