Pisces69 6th Gear July 9, 2011 Share July 9, 2011 i think its the quality of the compound, surprised that top range tire can be like that. even my cheapo duro tyres dont have this problem. i think moral of story buy high end model must also get high end brand Or the belting got quality issues? Pisces69 6th Gear July 9, 2011 Share July 9, 2011 I think it might be some isolated case which you are unlucky and got some defected tyres? Or all hankook tyres really like this? I had that b4 on tires I bought from an unreliable source. I live n learnt to b more careful who I buy my tires from.

Meanmachine Supercharged July 9, 2011 Share July 9, 2011 im on 225/45/17 R-S3s as well, for almost 2 months, clocked about 800km with them so far *touch wood* no prob dry grip is impressive as these were meant to be high performance street tyres with the occasional track day cornering in the dry is amazing, i can push my car even harder than my prev federal evos without a hint of squeal or tyre flex - shld be the carcass being very hard wet is alittle tricky though and i wont recommend 3 digit speeds when goin over huge puddles i noticed the compound is very soft and wear rate is on the high side as to be expected of tyres in this category, tyre roar and other imperfections are heard loud and clear, but again they arent as noisy as my prev tyres bro, tat affirm our beliefs that relatively it's an abv average tyre, but could have been better, noise level can be compromised, QC issue. Given time, it will improved, like our bro having 'lumps', it can kill off many HK fan over the mishap, how they handle feedbacks/issues could have been better, thinks it a language problem, the korean technician thinks we are overly manipulative, tis may be a one off issue, if they handle it well, many see as an eager beaver to garner sales . . . Let us enjoy the ride while it's still hot, U know what, the ' humming noise ' can be quite interesting after a while, when U miss it, it's a trademark HK brand, juz like the KTM train noise, when it's gone forever, people will miss it lor! Meanmachine Supercharged July 9, 2011 Share July 9, 2011 tried v8 last time for kicks, went over glass on road two tyre sidewall corner and thread block torn ( 3 day old) they offer me 5% discount buy 2 new.. i throw the 4 tyre away went fit CSC3 feedback exactly as #30 above by meanmachine, spot on by him Meanmachine here, sorry to hear your ride experience, guess U must been pretty upset and perturbed by such minor incident, sounds too good to be true, I support your action by dumping those tyres away, but then, I won't for now, still enjoying my ride. Trying to figure out what went wrong and how could it be fixed correctly, it's mind over matters. Bet U do like CSC3 afterall, Cheers!
