Beware when you park at Cairnhill Plaza: Thieves may smash your car windows

 

Windows were smashed and valuables taken from two cars parked at Cairnhill Plaza last Saturday (Jul 2) afternoon. One of the cars belonged to STOMPer Kitty's friend. According to the STOMPer, there were no CCTV cameras installed in the carpark.

 

The STOMPer described the incident:

 

"My friend's car and another car's windows were smashed when she parked at Cairnhill Plaza yesterday late afternoon.

 

"Nothing can be done as CCTV cameras were not installed in that multi-storey carpark.

 

"Valuables were taken from her car.

 

"She can only report this case to the police.

 

"No wonder the nearby carparks are always full.

 

"Car owners should find a good, secure place with good and responsible management to park their cars."

I believe among act of negligence, for leaving valueables visible to attract theft?

If break window and only steal cash card, that is unlucky enough.

Car sure got coupons n cash card.

Even if no laptop, or visible valuables....the side broken glass is worth more than the cash card.

 

 

Does insurance cover side windows replacement for free or minimum cost??like windscreen protection scheme?

i think the car driver left either laptop bag or handbag on the passenger seat, n tat attracted the thief....

It should be Cairnhill Place cos Cairnhill Plaza is a condo. The parking where it's link to a Mosque on the ground level

 

Ppl like Stomper Kitty's friend are easy target cos they dun bother to keep their valuables out of sight and like to blame it on some CCTV dan put the blame on themselves.

Some building management has the clause park at your own risk. It is never the management fault that he didn't keep his valuable out of sight. This not only happen in Malaysia but Singapore. Who can he blame? The police can't do a thing since got evident of force entry but no idea who did it. Unless the same MO happen again with CCTV footage, the police can only conclude that it may be the same person who did it. Unless the thief confess.
