MTRAC Neutral Newbie July 5, 2011 Share July 5, 2011 Buying car now, new or preown makes no difference with level of intelligent... it has to be decided in future. If COE continues to go up then it is smart. If inverse happened than not so smart. Whatever is the level of COE, there will always be buyers.
1fast1 Supersonic July 5, 2011 Share July 5, 2011 Push up elantra to 130k, still got people want to give government money. Some will say cheap. Funny It's depressing to think a wad of cash that'll get you a new 911 in the US won't even get you a freaking Hyundai in Sg.
Eaton 2nd Gear July 5, 2011 Share July 5, 2011 so? its still cheaper. U must be a dealer. Dealer say cheap. But it is stupid to buy second hand car with inflated price and no paper value
Fastfive1 5th Gear July 5, 2011 Share July 5, 2011 U must be a dealer. Dealer say cheap. But it is stupid to buy second hand car with inflated price and no paper value Dude just cos people say that getting a second hand car is cheap now doesn't necessarily mean he or she is a dealer. I think it's really immature of you to make the assumption that a person is a car dealer just because of one statement. Maybe you should get your facts straight first before you label people as a car dealer. Now to address the second part of your statement. It really depends on what kinda second hand car you're talking about.
Mllcg 3rd Gear July 5, 2011 Share July 5, 2011 (edited) U must be a dealer. Dealer say cheap. But it is stupid to buy second hand car with inflated price and no paper value my WRX costs 36k and i drive till 2019. it is cheaper than a new WRX and my car has no paper value. but its nice to drive and gets me from A to B. only wear and tear( ITS FREAKING UNAVOIDABLE in any car) parts replaced. Never own a WRX, but a colleague of mine had the 2004 STI and was complaining of $2K monthly maintenance, not sure whether is he b-------ting? In the end, he traded in for a new 320i highline last year after a good 6 yrs driving the STI Edited July 5, 2011 by Sportster

In the end, he traded in for a new 320i highline last year after a good 6 yrs driving the STI Hmm i think it is very costly to own one especially with the high FC and having to change engine oil every 5k km, plus there's insurance, road tax, wear and tear. I guess your friend prefers something more luxurious. ↡ Advertisement
