Turbocharged

Car park is after expressways for being accident-prone. :o

I wonder if it is because the entrances and exits are designed too narrowly or stats refer to car-bang-car accidents. Anyway, that's a wake-up call.

If anyone notice some areas(highways) tend to have more chain collisions? Notice this stretch on ECP around Marine Vista always have accidents(there is a 5 car one this morning). During a discussion with a fellow car driver, he mention this conspiracy theory that there is always some tow truck station near that area in the morning and will be there to 'help' in a super short time frame. He also suspect the first car that brake suddenly, may be 'intentional'. That car may or may not get hit but that will result in cars behind getting in a chain collision and thus 'business'. Can you name any other areas we have to look out for? Of cos this is just speculation and in the end its the bad driving habit of keeping too close distant resulting in the situations.

ECP? Not very often in my experience

Infamous areas:  PIE (towards Tuas) e.g. Eunos / Paya Lebar Flyover *the area with the green rails), Lornie Exit, Adam Road Exit, Clementi Exit

actually most expressways when experiencing road hogging .....you see such collisions mostly on lane 1.

chain collision not likely to happen if TP & LTA rid our expressways of the hoggers [rifle]

To me another area is PIE towards Changi - entrance to PIE from Jalan Bahar.

I noticed a few accidents there in last 6 months as its my daily route home.

People enter from Jalan Bahar and the ones who are going to PIE Changi have to filter 1-2 lanes to the right immediately, because the left 3 lanes go to KJE (BKE). As a result, people filter sometimes in slow speed and the higher speed cars behind whack.

What u said could definitely be a possibility.. its rampant in our neighbouring country so i don't think we can say that it cannot happen here at all. if people can cause fake accidents for insurance claims then this isn't surprising also.

Fake insurance claim, plus tow trunk biz? Double win? If car tow to their own workshop for repair, then triple win? Wow :serious-business:

My car was rearended on expressway some time back. A middle aged man stopped and 'offered advice' soon after, and he tried to get me to send my car to his workshop for repair.

My friend shared my experience with her colleague, whose husband lost his jobs months ago and currently plying the expressways everyday 'looking' for accidents, to offer 'advice and help' to motorists who got into accidents, actually to get the motorists to let him tow their vehicles to the workshop he is working. And he supposedly knows where accidents frequently happen. My friend questioned her colleague if there is really 'staged accident', she admitted they really do that.

seems to me most staged accidents targeted at BB cars....since nearly all the atas cars go back to the ADs.

CTE, heading south after the PIE flyover.

On Lane 1, the road curves to the right and narrows. Blind spots due to thick bushes in the divider so it's hard to see the car ahead jam brake. Many bikes speeding around the bend tend to crash around this area as cars on Lane 1 suddenly change lanes without signalling.

This one I agree.  I always see accident there.

Bke (towards pie) at kje exit

Most of time accidents happened that area.

I agree.  I always heard the above area having accident in radio news.

Also Jurong town hall road that area.
