NSmen should be allowed to bring their rifles home

I think that upon ORD, NSmen should be allowed to take their guns home along with a container of sealed ammo. If a crisis really happens, everyone can come out shooting.

Of course there needs to be some checks and protocols in place. For example, people cannot carry a rifle in public with a magazine inserted.

Some people will worry that the rifles will be used to commit crimes. But if somebody is really intent on commiting a crime, even a kitchen knife will do. In fact a knife is even better than a rifle because it is easier to conceal.

SAFRA can also have a rifle range so NSmen can practise their marksmanship.

No, I do not need to take medication and if I am not wrong, IDF people can bring their guns home.

Our situation does not call for it like Israel. There's no need to do so.

With so many kukus out there I doubt the govt have that kind of confidence. I recall after 9/11 I have to go take non ICT IPPT, nbcb the security check before I enter the camp is as if I'm a would be terrorist. Cannot park inside and outside the camp. Caused so much trouble and delay for NSmen and themselves. If you dun take the IPPT, they will take action. Really damn pissed at that time. This is the confidence they have in NSmen. You think they will hand you a rifle and let you bring home?

Haiz, maybe it's because I am gun enthusiast. [sweatdrop]

But seriously, even for country with lots of guns and lots of nuts (like USA), they don't really have widespread shooting everyday

i remember US got tourist been shot dead because they knock on the wrong door, and children accidently killing their siblings because some kukoo father did not keep their guns properly.

thats true, they dont have widespread shooting but when they do, they usually have a massacre with many innocent lives lost... recall some korean migrant who went to the uni and shot up everyone? thats just 1 example i can recall and i dont think i want my child to go to a school where there is a metal detector and security guard to screen out the weapons. its just not safe and adds more to costs (costs of hiring security guards and buying metal detectors)
