my frens formed two teams, both in the final and quite front up the grid

KARTer : Yah, a team brought their own race queens/ grid girls, gathered a lot of attention from the guys present ("bah bah black sheep have you any wool? Yes sir. yes sir, TWO bags FULL ", my what full bags of WOOL you have bah bah black sheep" .......)

 

Your friend's team did quite well I guess, took the top 2 steps of the podium , not bad for a bunch of kmapong karters I guess.

Huh, what trophy for me? I was just an "observer" at the race remember?

 

Anyway, a little bird told me the prizes consist of 1 giant steamboat sized trophy and a smaller bowling pin sized one. The top three teams also received vouchers for varying duration of exclusive use of the track (1 to 3 hrs), a bit ironic since all were very sore and bruised after their 4hr drives, the last thing their butts want to see is another kart seat

 

Final winning margin for your friend's Team 1 was 2 laps, Team 2 had a scare late into the race (about 20 min left) when Team Drakar started to close the gap but negotiating backmarkers cost them valuable seconds and eventualy the "dragons" had to settle for third behind the "Fararri" pony

Think this year's race will be quite boring

 

Due to the rule changes (only employees of the corporations can race), many of last year's top racers

may not be racing this year, including the reigning champions.

 

Last year, there were participants from professional kart teams, professional drifters, racers etc.

 

Interestingly, the champions were a bunch of amatuer uncles and young boys, most of whom don't even own a race kart The same can be said of the runners up (2nd), bunch of amatuer old uncles and young boys as well
