Beaconlight Neutral Newbie June 29, 2011 Share June 29, 2011 HI.. 1) Depends on your budget.. 2) with family? 3) moving out often with car? 4) what kind of entertainment u looking for?
Beaconlight Neutral Newbie June 29, 2011 Share June 29, 2011 Hi.. Berjaya times square..abt $140 for studio suites..family oriented..cinema in the shopping mall. Hotel also in the shopping mall. Can watch movies till late..no worries of walking out of the mall. Safety aspect is there. But moving in/out can be a hassle as there are quite heavy traffic outside esp on weekends noon time. Captiol hotel..cheap and good. Business hotel with minimum amenities...all entertainment outside the hotel. A short walk to Berjaya times square for cinema..eateries, cheap clothing nearby and also pirated stuff. Istana hotel budget is about $120..quieter cos abit off from the bukit bintang area..but still walkable..about 100metres from Pavilion Mall..the newer mall with shopping aspect. More middle-eastern folks... Matters whether you like to stay more in hotel, safety aspect..entertainment...
Acieed 1st Gear June 29, 2011 Share June 29, 2011 Depends on how "far" is "far" and which "highway". If you wish to hang out in KL for a while, get a decent dinner and rest but not rushing to get back on the road, and can live with heavy traffic in KL, any of these hotels should work fine. Otherwise, you might be better off looking at some hotels around KLIA or Shah Alam which is along the way over E6 (KL-bypass from E2 to E1). Concorde KLIA is cheap, and there are a few restaurants close by (Chinese seafood, Malay, etc.). Rooms may be a little old, but I don't know if they may have renovated recently. Hi.., How far radius int. hotel from highway? I want drive from sg to penang stop over 1 night at kl, so looking hotel that not too far from highway. Steptronic Supercharged June 29, 2011 Share June 29, 2011 I would recommend Mandarin Oriental rooms facing KLCC. What a spectacular view in the nights! But I should caution you that these rooms are probably the costliest in the town!
Estrangable 5th Gear June 29, 2011 Share June 29, 2011 Anyone could recommend a good hotel at KL, maybe somewhere near Bt Bintang or PJ area that has good parking protection? Many thanks. i recommend westin ... opp pavilion shopping centre and less than 100 metres away from bukit bintang area. extremely classy and great service. the buffet breakfast is fanastic Previously stayed in sheraton...a bit old compared to westin but still good value for $$. all the 5 stars hotels in kl are extremely affordable and so u shd spend a bit more and stay in a nice fancy hotel

Westin, JW Marriot or Ritz are good. I usually go for Westin cos of familiarity and cos we know most of the staff there.
