Is sakuraya fishmarket most value 4 $ 4 gd jap sashimi?

i went to the West coast outlet and selected 1 packet salmon, 1 packet mejajiki, 1 sanma for the chef to cut when it come to table wow , like cut nicely inot quite a few slices, defineitely more than at restaurants like ichiban or sushi tei.

 

then eat with rice, and order some more fried dishes , in end for 2 come up 60+

 

 

are there better value outlest than this?

But now I dare not eat sushi.....Jap radiAtion fish....dangerous if the fish is imported by some black hearted businessman.

West Coast Plaza... Not cheap if u compare with the regular conveyor sushi joint but quality is much better. Fresh.

they have another outlet at the basement of parkway parade.

Do you notice that the variety of fishes has dropped considerably in the last couple of months? The fridge where they put whole fishes is nearly empty most of the time. [:(] Could it be fue to. The earthquake in Japan or just a seasonal thing?

well you can say it seasonal cos the SCHOOl of fish went for summer holiday in May/June [laugh] [laugh]

actually winter is best time for hamaichi a.k.a yellow tail cos tis is when they are the fattest

Yup, agree. During the Nov - Feb period, the varieties are more. You can get the Monkfish Liver and fresh oysters. Also winter is crab season in Hokkaido. ^_^
