Acieed 1st Gear June 27, 2011 Author Share June 27, 2011 So... say, you have to work 20 hours for 7 days a week, 10 years contract. You can only see your young kids for 5 minutes before you leave for work. Will you still do it ? I will do it for $88,888. ↡ Advertisement
Celicar Turbocharged June 27, 2011 Share June 27, 2011 "Best" is a term no different from "affordable", everyone has a different interpretation. If you believe the powers that be, we will ALWAYS have "affordable" housing and healthcare.
Minikong 1st Gear June 27, 2011 Share June 27, 2011 waddabout those ang-moh hotel GMs? high pay or not? market gm salary range from $6k-$8k for a 3 star hotel regional marketing director is the most fat, as they are on performance based. to me it is nothing compare to other industry like marine, and banking. as hospitality have a restriciton, and that is capacity peak, and u will have no more rooms to market. and i order for bosses to earn more, they will cut the operation cost, to make the p&l much nicer. so eventually your salary also kana cut! so no matter how much u perform also like this, expect for selling at super high price during peak season some times. but if u take an insurance consultant for example, doing those high net worth insurance like a minimum of 1m face value. you can close as much as you can, if you are all out, as there is no restriction at all. i know ppl do sell such insurance with minumum $10m premium, and anything less than that, they won t even want to bother. so you should know thier comm, after co broking with those private bankers..... 1 year do 4 sucgh deals alreadty is super fat

Acieed 1st Gear June 27, 2011 Author Share June 27, 2011 Tata Consultancy Services <--- this would be almost purely FT ?? Like most of these outsourced consultancy services. Curious to know if there are actually any locals that actually work there in a substantial role ? too bad, it's so easy to import FT/FWs. So, pay is 1/600,000 of a pea. Soya Supersonic June 27, 2011 Share June 27, 2011 juz curious; when u say regional marketing director is most fat, how 'fat' would that be?
Minikong 1st Gear June 27, 2011 Share June 27, 2011 juz curious; when u say regional marketing director is most fat, how 'fat' would that be? sales job got performance bonues that is u ppl said commission. just imagine, there is a 1 man money spinning machine controlling 70% of the revenue for a 5 star hotel. u think how much comm he will have for 1 month? i do a simple calucualtion for you. let said 1 room on average is 8k 1 month, and they have 300 rooms. on standard comm 1 month based on 8k you should have $333, but i will instead just give u a 20% as your comm out of the $333= $66.60 1 room a month. so i will just take $66.60 mutiply be 200 rooms= $13320 on your monthly comm liao. i havent add in the car allowance, entertaning allowance, and basic salary yet
Jman888 Moderator June 27, 2011 Share June 27, 2011 can explain it is based on what? i dont really belive those hotel really that good, as hopitality industry is famous for low salary, and that is where i am at. hospitality industry is quite labour intensive. so those aunties and uncles are happy to have a job and usually those jobs are quite routine and no if no but.... see most of them can stay for donkey years until they retire. The best thing is if you have no money in the pocket, the hotel provide food, you can cover bfast, lunch & dinner!
