Anyone remember the detective who looked quite blur and forgetful...??

Yeah, grew up watching the detective series "Columbo" in the 70s. Lta Columbo was always seen in his trench coat, no matter what the weather was, and smoking his cigar. Darn cool looking guy and very little violence on the screen. I doubt this series will appeal to today's viewers. Different era.

Can't remember much about Get Smart as I preferred Columbo those days.
