breathing space?

ok....maybe i should just give you an idea of their routines.

-rest whenever you can

-only clean the house thoroughly ONCE a week

-you are free to do what you want to do after basic housework(sweeping floor)

-toilet also once a week

-kids sleep, you sleep.

-free to use my internet access

-subscribe philippino channel for them

-watch whenever they want.

-tv in maids room

-eat WHATEVER WE EAT

-DRINK WHATEVER WE DRINK

-on top of salary, $50 food allowance per week(sometimes they buy macdonalds or ice cream)

-i WAKE UP earlier than them, i AM their alarm clock, to wake them up to prepare kids for school

I TOLD them NOT to wake up earlier than me cos i want them to have ample rest

-afternoon naps are allowed

-buy laptops for them so that they can webcam with family

-free to use my ipads(meant for kids) to check facebook anytime they want

-free to roam in neighbourhood playground for a stroll with dogs.

-off day can leave house at 6am, can come back at 10pm latest.

-buy handphone for them for their PERSONAL use.(of course, i reserve right to call them whenever i want)

-if we go shopping weekends, and they see nice clothes, I buy for them.

-all family events, even OVERSEAS tour, includes them.

so...breathing space?

you tell me.

LOL.....he is basically giving you orders on how to run your life.

Beh ta han...........way way off topic. [laugh][laugh][laugh]

Bro, I believe this faggot doesnt has a maid at all. Like the recent poll, majority of those who agreed to allow maids to have weekly off day doesnt have a maid at all, they simply just look at sky inside a well. Till then one day, when he has one, he will know. (Famous saying, chui ta Lxn) [lipsrsealed]

once our kids reach independent age (secondary probably),

My wife and I decided NOT to engage domestic helpers anymore.

no doubt they have been a great help.

and we DO appreciate them.

we told them we TREAT them like family.

our kids love them like they love us, i.e parents.

unfortunately, the temptation outside of home is simply too much.

i personally spend time to counsel them, sit down with them and ask them WHY do they even do such things.

$ is always the reason.

family to feed, parents asking $ back home very often.

i pay my domestic helpers MORE than the stipulated salary.

1 getting $500, the other who is on a 2nd contract with me gets $600.

still, $ is never enough.

so, what gives?

3 more off days per week so they could prostitute or rendezvous with banglas for a meagre $10 hp top up?

sigh...

+++++++++++++++++++++

yewheng,

i'm not here to boast HOW good We are to our helpers.

I just hope the government would really consider looking at the flipside of the coin.

You want us singaporeans to have more kids,

and now you're thinking of giving maids 4 off days a month?

so for those who does not have parental help, how?

who dares to even have kids?or say ...more than 1 kid?

no F**CKING singaporean would.

period.

Hypersonic

I had a neighbour once who did something like the above and worse too.

In the end I had to call the police to get the maid out and I personally went around the neighbourhood to get people to see the show when the police came. Of course I had to tell the neighbours what happened la. [laugh]

To see the xpression of that a------es face when the police came knocking while the whole neighbourhood is watching....thats priceless......... [thumbsup]

Priceless indeed! Well done bro! [thumbsup]

dude, totally understand what u mean.. u relac ok..

it is true sometimes tat even the best helper gets tempted..

i.e their clique earning more $$ than them by having a "2nd job" during off days.. but those are minorities..

last time, we experience lesser society problems like this..

now its tougher.. and honestly, it is the black sheeps that "ruin" the privileges .. spoil market until it is "across the board" that "wiser not to give them off days"..

but back to the root again, temptations are hard to resist..

And they might also bring to her to the other 2 families to clean their homes too on weekends....

This is actually illegal.

[thumbsup] Arrse holes like these (the one you are replying to) ought to be treated by their employers in the same way.

Better still if this arrse hole's children get it from their employers in future.

I must have seriously offended you.

Based on my few prejudices, you are either PRC, MIW or AhBWee's maid.

I am ONLY sorry if you are the maid.

period.

I have a wife, 3 kids and a late 40s Filipino maid.

As I have posted earlier, I give her 4 Sundays off.

I have no problems whatsoever.

Frankly the issue our GOV has is NOT internal. Its external. read the reports from HKG and TWN ?

Many of them are flocking there to work and giving SG a miss.

SG employers are really Count the Dead Grass type, control freaks.

My S-I-L change maids that my fingers and toes not enough to count.

The reasons - blows my mind... and many SGeans are like that. - They want the maids to be Hardorking Mother Teresa.

I have been hiring maids since 1990s and only 1 rejected due to helath reasons and 1 gone home to get married.

My wife and me always choose older maids (to make it crude, I will throw in ugly as well). But we choose very decent ones as well.

There your moonlighting woes - GONE.

However, I only have 1 advice - treat them like family member. No I don't mean buying Computers and all the stuff...

Give a maid a Handphone and she will Talk Non-stop.

Give a maid Dignity and she will work Non-Stop.
